Team Sats,

It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that we announce the end of The Saturdays is approaching. After six fantastic years, four albums, three tours and fourteen huge singles we feel like we've accomplished everything we ever wanted to and that our time together has reached it's natural ending. It wasn't an easy decision but we want to thank every single member of Team Sats who have supported us over the years and stood by us for so long! We couldn't have done any of it without you and that's why we're inviting you to our Greatest Hits tour; 30 Days with The Saturdays!! Wooo! Dates will be announced soon so stay posted. We hope to see each and every single one of you at those arenas and singing along to all your favourite classic Saturdays tunes! Not only that, but watch out for our upcoming Greatest Hits album later this year including our #1 single 'What About Us', new single 'Gentleman' and a few other surprise new songs for you all to enjoy. And don't worry, we'll be sure to include all of your favourite singles on there for you!

It's been a real emotional six years and we are so proud of all we have accomplished. We can't wait to see you all again on tour and once again thank YOU for everything. We love you all so much!

Frankie, Mollie, Una, Vanessa and Rochelle.

xxxxx

Bloody hell I almost had a heart attack  I'd probably worse than the suicidalJLS fangirls if it was true!

:( why not say in the mailer FFS!

I'm so gutted. This week has been shut. VF closing, I'm homesick and now this

I actually want to kill you!

Haha but in all seriousness well executed haha. :')

What wasn't this actually REAL. :(
In all seriousness, I reckon that The Saturdays will be no more by this time next year. I can't see them carrying on for much longer with all of the pregnancies and being inferior in the eyes of the public compared to other girl groups.

I dunno, I can't see them ever "wanting" to split up. Unlike the other groups (JLS, Girls Aloud, Sugababes, Pussycat Dolls, whatever) they haven't really been that successful and still have alot to accomplish so I imagine they'd want to carry on for as long as they can. They seem to genuinely love being in the band and they're practically sisters so it'd be a hard decision for them if they did have to end it.

I can just see them slowing things down ALOT. Things will probably go back to the way it was with a few singles per year (with a weeks promotion) an album and tour. I can't see them continuing with America or anywhere else, though, which is such a huge shame.

This is fair enough. I could definitely see them getting a few more hits and eventually proving their critics wrong. But will they still be around in 10 years time? I'm not sure...

What bands are usually around for 15+ years? Take That excepted and even they split for a lot of the years.

They've been going for a long time already with quite a lot of hit singles and a dedicated fanbase. I give it three more years at the very most anyway.

I swear I just died!!!

Can you please back up " inferior in the eyes of the public "

What About Us will outsell every Little Mix song. Stooshe will not be around after their album bombs. Please get your facts right before you bother coming into The Saturdays forum. Thanks.

No offence but as a moderator you really shouldn't be so rude and biased. 'Wings' is actually about 100K or something ahead of WAU isn't it? The Sats had more consistant success with their first album than Little Mix but remember LM are having success in the US and Europe unlike The Sats. As for Stooshe, there's nothing to suggest 'Slip' and the album won't be as popular as 'Black Heart' (which was bigger than WAU too).

Both of you are being very dramatic. I fail to see how The Sats are seen as inferior and at the same time there was no need to downgrade other groups success to defend The Sats. All three groups are competely different styles, images and performers.

Freedom of speech etc, I can say what I wish when somebody keeps coming on the forum with a view of creating contrvorsy, not the first, not the second... this is multiple times and many Sats fans have got into arguments with Griff. As a moderator, I'm keeping everything under control and stopping all of these off topic nonsense, that reminds me.. why did you create this post in the first place?

What About Us should still outsell wings, depending on the chart runs therefore the "Inferior" tag that griff has labelled is completely incorrect. Little Mix are having limited success in America, the song wont go top 70 on Billboard and airplay is already decreasing. Stooshe have got limited airplay, Radio1 have snubbed them and after waterfalls it will be a miracle if Stooshe managed to pass 100,000 album sales.

that reminds me.. why did you create this post in the first place?

Exactly. This is pointless and isn't humorous in the slightest.

We can show what can be done 'as a moderator' when you are warned for creating fake news stories!

I'm closing this topic. Take any further discussion to ChasInc The Saturdays please.
