It's not a competition!!

Free brownies for whoever shades Dandy and praises me

I'm getting bored of Get Lucky already, but I just can't see anything that looks like it could knock them off. :(

Agreed, it's a fine song but I'm not really understanding the continued omnipresence. That said none of the current / upcoming contenders for #1 catch my fancy either so I'm willing for it to stay until something better comes along.

On another note, I'm expecting 'Slip' to be quite comfortably top 10 at this stage. If Amelia Lily's 'Shut Up' could completely bomb on pre-orders (could barely maintain a top 1500 presence), be released at 99p and still reach #11, then 'Slip' with a strongly performing pre-order should be a cert for top 10, and possibly even top 5 if it gets the seemingly standard Stooshe desperate price reduction. If it performs as strongly as that without Radio 1 support then that's a very impressive showing for them.

Nobody wins when it comes to Disney music.

No one wins. :kink:

Damn, Umi beat me to it. :(

'Get Lucky' is average as the best imo, nor is the best Daft Punk single (not even close), nor have the best vocals on it (apart from those robotic ones), I would like it more if there were only those robotic vocals and instrumental.

Demi or Stooshe for next no.1 plz. and btw it's really amazing to see so many dance singles in top 10.

I hope Stooshe and Demi both miss the top 10 so the likes of Little Mix and AlunaGeorge have a chance of sneaking in next week. :P I know that's really unlikely though, especially in Demi's case.

Oh and on another note, your sig is incredible.

Wow. This song is really ancient! I wonder where people are hearing it though.

Radio 2.

Hopefully it doesn't become a hit, I don't like it :(

Naughty Boy/Sam Smith is a strong #1 contender I reckon.

It would usually seem that way, but I don't think it has any chance of #1; it's out the same week as Daft Punk's album (which will probably keep Get Lucky well over 100k again)

Daft Punk's album is out in a couple of weeks, yes? It might keep sales above 75k but definitely not over 100k, I predict that it will start slowing down massively next week.

Speaking of Daft punk's new album, I wonder how much Random Access Memories will sell on its first week! :o

Time to make a poll ~

Unless Passenger can climb to #1, I think Daft Punk should be on course for a fourth week. Demi Lovato, Stooshe and Wretch 32 are all T10 contenders, not #1!

The Voice effect

40. Birdy - People Help the People

105. Stevie Wonder - Do I Do

329. Katy Perry - E.T.

553. Katy Perry - E.T. (feat. Kanye West)

794. U2 & B.B. King - When Love Comes to Town

824. CeCe Peniston - Finally

1243. CeCe Peniston - Finally

Wow, Birdy getting a boost from a TV show! :o

Great to see Katy's best song back in the top 1000.
