there's a moment over a scramble with the mic-stand with Vanessa and Mollie where Mollie ends up dragging it to the side of the stage and slamming it down

For someone lazy like me, which performance did this occur in?

Thanks Martyn. I sorted it now :D but yeah, her vocals in that are amazing.

Is it me or do her vocals even from 2008 sound screechy and forced-like? At least she could sing in her head voice then, which she can't do very well now.

Just Can't Get Enough. But it looks more like Vanessa was 'passing' it to Mollie looking back at it now.

I can see no tension in any of the songs, they are acting as they always do on stage. People need to stop reading into things to deeply as it's gonna make you paranoid.
I didn't watch the live feed, but I've looked at the performances on YouTube and, as Steve and Scherz said, see no tension within the group. I do agree that Vanessa did seem to be struggling with her vocals sometimes, but in the 'Just Can't Get Enough' performance, I couldn't see Mollie 'slam' the mic-stand down.

I think they sound forced because they are just hard notes to reach but she does it quite well. You also have to factor in that during a performance like that which seems quite intimate, it would be quite weird if she really relaxed her throat and belted 100% because she would be really loud in comparison to others so maybe that's where the forced quality comes from because the notes are easily accessible for her. Either way it's disturbing to see how much her voice has regressed.

Even though The Saturdays have their bad performances, they do have some great ones too, I personally think they deliver more when they perform acoustically! I love 'Higher' and 'Ego' in the live lounge.

OMG I IS SORREH! I SHALL NOT SPEAKIF I BAD WORD ABOUT THE BAND AGAIN! ONLY POSTIVITY IN HERE! LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON TIME!

Very mature.

It's how it comes across

It may come across as that, but I am not insisting you "lick their arses".

Fair point to express your dissatisfaction at their performance, but 5+ posts about how bad they were singing and tension on stage is silly.

Then don't throw a hissy fit complaining that people are "NEVER supportive of them"? Because the support is there, for when they put on a good show.

They are human, you know?

They're not going to be 100% perfect every single time, you in particular are always finding criticisms and it's tiresome.

And how is speculating that there is tension in the band supporting them, it just add fumes to a non-existent fire and is unnecessary.

Have an opinion by all means but, with some of you, they never seem to do any right..

It's called having a discussion. Most of it was out of concern and shock at what we were seeing and hearing.

They are being paid to do a job at the end of the day. Yes in your job you won't always get everything done perfectly, but sometimes The Saturdays look like they would rather be somewhere else. I love them and there music and it is horrible when it comes across like they can't be bothered. Yesterday was one of those cases.

But the majority of us saw no problem? You were reading far too much into it.

It is one thing being crtitical in a discussion but continuously being negative is completely different and very tiresome to read.

Is there anything that can be done to "recover" a voice? Or is it impossible for her to go back to the way she was in 2008/2009?

It's a shame how Vanessa WAS the band in the early days and now she's the most inconsistant and unpredictable performer who has to struggle to hit notes. :(

What? Its a forum. Stop being so serious. Critising is allowed the last time i checked. I always support them and give credit where its due, but im not gonna stand around looning that everythings rosy. There are issues with them right now (like every other artist out there) and to not point them out and discuss them because i might 'criticise' them or be 'negative', defeats the point of a forum.

And im contributing to no fire. You cant fuel one over some lousy supposed bitchy interactions at a gig that we saw and heard in low quality. Theres no crime against posting what you are seeing. I dont see a huge uproar.

As they say, if you cant stand the heat, step away from the kitchen.

Hate to post this, but it's actually quite funny..

At around 1.54 it's what looks like Ness flicking Roch's hand off her shoulder haha. It actually made me laugh.. (not meaing to add 'fuel' to the 'fire' about in-band fighting btw)
