So I am watching the live stream of them at V online. It starts and there is only 4 of them on stage. I was like where the hell is Mollie. Is she broken again? She then ran on. Life saved.

Came on stage to an Ego remix, then sang the extended version of Ego (the one which repeated the chorus at the end).

Now onto Up! :D

I will edited the whole setlist into this post as it is done :)

Ego

Up

Issues

Forever Is Over

Just Can't Get Enough

*Band Intro*

I Need Dollar/ Buzzin

All Fired Up

Missing You

Notorious

Higher (last song :()

So did all the singles other than If This Is Love and Work. I'm shocked at Work being left out. It is usualy a fan favourite. Not to supprised at If This Is Love though...

I couldn't get the live stream to work, pffft. Hopefully it'll go up on their VEVO.
They haven't been brilliant vocally so far tbbh. They were having issues on the chorus for the first couple of songs, generally you were only hearing frankie and/or mollie's microphone. They've picked up since Issues though.
Missed the first 4 songs but i thought the ones i saw were quite alright, Vanessa needs some rest she is really struggling atm.
Yeah Vanessa hasn't been sounding great as of late :/
Missed it all. How was Mollie? ;) And Frankie - was she better than her AFU performance on Tonight's The Night? :)
The only song on television was I Need A Dollar :(

There is another highlights show on later I think... So maybe more on later...

From the live stream I watched earlyer, their set was awful. Possibly the worst gig by them.

The set was riddled with issues from start to beginning (pardon the pun).

Their stage presence was sloppy, the interaction with the audience was lame and half-arsed, the set was messy (microphone stands being left in the way etc), the mixing was completely off sounded awful.. All Fired Up was practically sung in acapella. Vanessa was having serious problems with her voice, that is the worst I have ever heard her condition to date, whatever that may be. She was seriously straining her voice to hit all the notes that she hasn't done for a very long time now. Something has changed overnight because from what I've seen on YouTube yesterdays show at Western Park was their typical show and Vanessa wasn't forcing out anything she didn't have to..

Today was a completely different situation, they all looked like they didn't want to be there. I hate to say it but they actually all looked really pissed off, whether it was with each other I don't know but watching it didn't feel right at all. Mollie came on to stage late for whatever reason, there's a moment over a scramble with the mic-stand with Vanessa and Mollie where Mollie ends up dragging it to the side of the stage and slamming it down, Rochelle takes a pop with the "everyone thinks we can't sing" blah blah blah and the intonation in her voice convinced me she wasn't saying it in a jokey way. There was whispering inbetween performances and when the set was over they litrally all said "thank you" in such a rambled formation and ran off.

I hate to say it but something wasn't right at all.

On the other hand the choreography was good, and the vocals (apart from poor Ness) were good too.

The only song on television was I Need A Dollar :(

Why does that not suprise me? The way things sounded on the live stream earlyer was awful.

I think part of it was, they knew the Chelmsford gig is televisied/live streamed, unlike the gig up North. They have a tendency to fall to bits dramaticly at big television promos. Maybe it's a good thing they haven't done X Factor as that would probably end up being CAR CRASH.

From what I've heard the stream wasn't picking up the mixing properly. What the people in Chelmsford actualy saw/heard was much more together...

I just watched the youtube performances, something seems to be up with the girls, it really wasn't a good set and the setlist wasn't good either. The girls really didin't look happy.. something what annoys me about The Saturdays is they don't interact with the crowd! They should be getting the fans to sing along like Issues or Higher or something.

I was disappointed with there performances at V festival, seen miles better.

Part of the problem is Frankie (and most of the time Mollie as well) was (were) the only one (s ) singing the chorus for most of the songs. Not that they were bad or anything. But it seams to be a common thing because they usualy have a backing track on the chorus I don't know if they all always put the effort in the chorus of their songs. At T4 on the beach in 2009 during the first chorus on Work Frankie is the only one you can hear on the chorus...

I assume they were all just in a bad mood as V festival is two days, but they should be hoping to gain fans not be miserable twats. Maybe they're a bit frustrated after three years they've not progressed really at festivals, not asked to perform at Glastonbury and remain performing in tents at V festival, Oxegen & Titp.

There where without a doubt technical hitches the whole way through. The pre-recorded instruments weren't going from the mixer on stage to the live stream for some reason resulting in some very 'flat' and 'distant' sounding performances, especially in All Fired Up and Notorious where the magoirty of the tracks are pre-recorded instruments (ie sounds that cannot be produced live). All Fired Up was almost acapella!

They're still having trouble with keeping the microphones infront of their mouths. You'd think it was so simple. Vanessa keeps 'forgetting' to keep it near her mouth when she turns her head or whatever and the range of the mic just dosen't pick her up so the sound appears to cut out.

It was litrally Frankie 'leading' the Up chorus in falsetto more than once which sounded awful. I don't know what an earth was going on with the mixing and mic levels but this is not the only time where their live sound has been sub-par. You only have to look at some other gigs they've done recently to see how flat the sound really is.

I can't believe there are 5 girls in this group yet only 1 or 2 can or will sing in a chorus live. It's rediculous. They even stopped singing in Ego when they are standing still with the mic stands and relied on the backing track to do the work for them. They are so lazy sometimes it's un-real.

To think that they are doing an arena tour in a few months scares me. They're not ready at all after todays shoddy performance at V.

Vanessa's voice was atrocious. Many times The Saturdays stopped and spoke. I just felt it was a very unprofessional performance and they need to do a lot better. They should all be singing the choruses. I think Una seems to be the only person who enjoys festivals.
