May 10, 201313 yr Author There hasn't been any mid reports this week from MW, hopefully we get something later. I'll be gutted if Knife Party are #41 on Sunday, and find John Legend top 40, currently JL is #25 on iTunes. I prefer new tracks inside the top 40 rather than old tracks.
May 10, 201313 yr Stay at #1 Caro!!! What an amazing sight to see  ISTM she'll be popular with the Saturday shopping crowd, so hopefully she *can* stay there... [if there was a fingers-crossed smiley, I'd be using it...]
May 10, 201313 yr Didn't expect to see Passenger already overtaking Rudimental, I could see Malinchak dropping to #4 for Sunday (although for all we know he might be well ahead at #2 with his EP sales - the EP is still #8 on iTunes). Yay for Knife Party looking like getting a first top 40 hit in their own right! :D The EP has been doing really well so not surprised it's shown up today. Will be the third EP in 6 months to go top 40 after having none for several years. Hugh Laurie coming for a second top 3 album :o Who'd have thought he'd have so much success as a musician :P
May 10, 201313 yr Author Hugh Laurie coming for a second top 3 album :o Who'd have thought he'd have so much success as a musician :P Could have a shot at the #1 album as well, if album sales are tight :o performing on Graham Norton tonight
May 10, 201313 yr Author Anyone know whos on Alan Carr tonight then Wossy tomorrow? Jesse Ware on Alan Carr Bastille on Jonathan Ross
May 10, 201313 yr Knife Party in the top 40 cos of the EP? Great news!! Id say sales will be something like - 1) Daft Punk - 150k 2) Chris Malinchak 75k 3) Passenger 60-65k! I will predict: 1. Daft Punk - 148k 2. Passenger - 77k 3. Chris Malinchak - 73k Edited May 10, 201313 yr by Davidson
May 10, 201313 yr Yes for Knife Party finally getting a top 40 hit :cheer: (Antidote doesn't really count imo as that was selling on Swedish House Mafia's name) Hopefully they play 'EDM Death Machine' if the EP does make it on Sunday, as there is no track called Haunted House, unlike Imagine Dragons' and Ben Howard's EPs which had a song with the same name as the EP title.

Oh yes, that'll be interesting to see what they do with this one if there's no title track. The OCC usually charts EPs under the closest thing to a title track (even if it doesn't have an actual one, like 'The Wild' by Lewis Watson which charted earlier this year under the track name 'Into The Wild'). I think in my spreadsheet I use a mixture of EP titles and track titles that are similar to the EP. Need to sort that out really. Inconsistency argh. Edited May 10, 201313 yr by Bér

The OCC usually charts EPs under the closest thing to a title track (even if it doesn't have an actual one, like 'The Wild' by Lewis Watson which charted earlier this year under the track name 'Into The Wild'). If they credit Haunted House to a track, I do hope that the OCC don't credit the EP sales to Power Glove simply because it's track 1 on the EP, it's obvious that EDM Death Machine is the most popular from the EP. The best scenario would be Haunted House EP entering the chart and R1 playing Death Machine.
May 10, 201313 yr Quite significantly down on last week then which is a shame, although definitely over 100K again which is obviously still very good indeed. A proper video would help keep sales at similar levels for a couple more weeks.
May 10, 201313 yr Ah, they are properly slowing down now then (although still doing extremely well, I suppose it'd be unrealistic for them to carry on at the same pace for much longer). Perhaps Danny's prediction was right then.
May 10, 201313 yr I'm just so happy that they've gone to the top spot, let alone spending three weeks there!
