Blurred Lines have a new release date now - 26th May, finally dropped early :D just hope its run at #1 isn't cut short by Onion J to a week at #1. :(

So another week for Daft Punk with their album out next week

YAY. They couldn't have chosen a better release date, should easily go to #1.

I don't think Union J will be a #1, I haven't heard any hype for it anywhere - I'm predicting top 3 based on name alone and possible airplay closer to the release date.

That'd be something to cry over... :P

 25. We Own It (Fast & Furious) [feat. Wiz Khalifa] - 2 Chainz

2 Chainz getting a UK top 40 hit? :o

Love that #Beautiful is becoming a hit, I am not even that big a fan of Mariah but the song is fantastic, hope it manages to go top 10.

So now with the news about Blurred Lines, anyone think could there be a slight chance of Icona Pop getting moved forward too? (there's a fake version climbing quite high already). I actually hope that happens, so that John Newman might have a better chance of going to #1 :D

Looks like this may be coming for the top 10! Eric must be having a heart attack right now.

 27. Best Friends - The Janoskians

New Alex Day, absolutely plummeting!

 43. Dumb - Tich

 86. People Help the People - Birdy

Hopefully both on to drop loads from the Friday mids.

 98. Believe In Me (Eurovision Edit) - Bonnie Tyler

Finally in the top 100. Even Engelbert Humperdinck did better than this IIRC, can't believe how poorly this has done. Will it even go top 75?

Great to see 'Blurred Lines' pulled forward, Pharrell may yet replace himself at #1 then as long as Naughty Boy doesn't get to #1 next week! (Which I still think he will but hey).

I feel like this has actually done better than Engelbert actually, especially as Bonnie's song has been available for months whereas Engelbert's was held back until Eurovision week (I think).

Engelbert's song came out about 3 weeks before Eurovision. Had a chart run of 64-76-60-x (its final week top 100 was the week Loreen entered at #85).

It was still held back then which automatically gives him an advantage, Bonnie will peak higher in the end as well I think.

No, that would make too much sense to their record label.

I really don't see why people are hyping up Union J as a potential #1. Where exactly was this "huge fanbase" they supposedly have when they were coming in the bottom two of X Factor every other week? And it's not like their song itself is getting much exposure either. I expect a #6 debut or something before a swift fall out of the chart.

So another week for Daft Punk with their album out next week

That is a brilliant decision. Daft Punk for 5th week at no. 1, then Robin Thicke to smash it until 'I Love It' by Icona Pop comes along would extend a decent run of chart toppers imo.

Of course it's the UK chart though so I fully expect Union J and The Wanted to come along and ruin things. :D

I really can't see the John Newman song going to #1. Has it even had much airplay yet?
 27. Best Friends - The Janoskians

New Alex Day, absolutely plummeting!

However, unlike Alex Day - their songs are listenable :P

Oh that new Janoskians song is TERRIBLE, seriously. A prime example of swearing just for the sake of swearing...

(oh and Griff, PLEASE change that signature, it's giving me a headache)
