May 22, 201312 yr Show Me Love  I was an original Robyn fan! Followed her career right through the late 90s and early 00s too!

It was actually the first release (in Sweden) after parting ways with BMG after they were less than impressed with her new sound so if nothing else she proved them wrong. Touring as support act for the likes of Lil Chris and Daniel Powter gave to way to Spice Girls (they turned this down) and Lady Gaga as their fame spread. Sadly their true masterpiece “Boyfriend” fails to make this list... DEN: 1 13lCzDNlG7w

PRIVATE EMOTION- Ricky Martin Featuring Meja (111,000) http://www.radioromantika.ru/vardata/modules/lenta/images/20000/1561_2_1312282938.jpg YEAR: 2000 PEAK POSITION: 9 WKS ON CHART: 9 Just briefly, sometime in the summer of 1999 it was all about Ricky Martin who became a temporary heartthrob with the girls (oops) and whilst “Livin La Vida Loca” lay waste to all before it in the charts follow up “Shake You Bon Bon” didn’t impress many. This however got things back on track, he chose Swedish singer Meja to duet with him on this cover of a Hooters track from 1993, Meja only had one previous hit to her name “All About The Money” from 1998, for the Turkish release Martin wisely chose a native starlet for his partner Sertab Erener. May 23, 201312 yr Be Mine is great, obviously a Robyn song that is yet to come is a lot better. I don't remember hearing 10,000 Nights - I can't imagine it was very good as with the exception of Fascination they didn't do much for me.
May 23, 201312 yr It changes daily but Be Mine is probably my third favourite Robyn song (behind Dancing on my Own and Get Myself Together). Love 10,000 Nights too, was quite an obsession at the time
May 23, 201312 yr I actually prefer "Be Mine!" to "With Every Heartbeat", which I've never really got the appeal of. Oops. Woo for "10,000 Nights" though - impressive placing for such a low peak!
May 23, 201312 yr I actually think Be Mine is better than With Every Heartbeat too, but only just. They're both fairly high up on my all time favourites list.
May 23, 201312 yr I get more out of listening to Be Mine rather than With Every Heartbeat but let's face it. With Every Heartbeat is a TUNE. <3
May 23, 201312 yr Well, as much as I like 'Be Mine', 'With Every Heartbeat' is just in a whole different league of exceptional dance music. Still a track I enjoy listening to every now and again.
May 23, 201312 yr Be Mine is properly fantastic. I don't even normally bother with ranking Robyn's singles as they're all amazing in their own unique ways. Probably don't listen to them enough. This is enough of an excuse to dust them off from my iTunes.
May 23, 201312 yr Everything here is amazing. Private Motion is my favourite Ricky Martin single, thanks to Meja no doubt, sublime. Be Mine! and 10,000 Nights both helped to form my uni soundtrack so I love them loads! Alphabeat are one of the few acts I've seen live more than twice (Sarah Dawn Finer just joined that list, strangely ).

FALLING IN LOVE AGAIN- Eagle Eye Cherry (112,000) http://991.com/newGallery/Eagle-Eye-Cherry-Falling-In-Love-A-394480.jpg YEAR: 1998 PEAK POSITION: 8 WKS ON CHART: 8 Half brother to Neneh, Eagle Eye Cherry took his time to release his first album at the age of 27 after stints in acting. This was his second single and followed “Save Tonight” into the top 10 but it was his last time in the top 20 as future releases went largely unnoticed.

(112,000) http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/7/73/A-ha_Crying_in_the_Rain.jpg YEAR: 1990 PEAK POSITION: 13 WKS ON CHART: 7 Co-written by Carole King this was first a top 10 hit on both sides of the Atlantic in 1962 for the Everly Brothers and almost returned there in 1990 for A-Ha! They released it as the first single from their 4th album and marked the end of a period when the band hit the top 30 with 13 singles, as a consequence they have the most entries on this countdown though not all 13 make it. May 24, 201312 yr Author 89. HEARTBEATS- Jose Gonzalez (114,000) http://991.com/newGallery/Jose-Gonzalez-Heartbeats-344961.jpg YEAR: 2005 PEAK POSITION: 9 WKS ON CHART: 33 A hit thanks to a rather memorable advert for “Sony Bravia” TV’s which plucked Gonzalez’s version of “Heartbeats” from obscurity and into the top 10. As with much of his work it’s a cover, this time of The Knife’s original 2003 track which did nothing here, follow up “Hand On Your Heart” was a rather beautiful update of the Kylie Classic. May 24, 201312 yr Since when do a-ha have capital letters or an exclamation mark? :P Love 'Heartbeats' Edited May 24, 201312 yr by Bré
