June 2, 201312 yr I agree that Now 43 was a great compilation. It's quicker for me to list the songs I can't stand. CD 1 = Tracks 2, 11, 12, 13, 14, 20 CD 2 = Tracks 12 (not that it's bad, I just never "got" Cast overall :D ) In fact, Cast aside I like every other track on disk 2 to some extent.
June 2, 201312 yr Now 43 is one of my all time favourites, and one of the only ones that I keep in full on my iPod: I Want It That Way, Sweet Like Chocolate, Bring It All Back, Boom Boom Boom Boom, 9PM (Till I Come), Red Alert, Say It Again, Love Of A Lifetime, Private Number, Greatest Day, Everybody's Free (To Wear Sunscreen), You Get What You Give, Hey Boy Hey Girl, Right Here Right Now, Saltwater, Coffee & TV, Pick A Part That's New, Synth & Strings, To Be In Love and (especially) Better Off Alone are all great to me. That's basically a 50% strike rate of the entire compilation that I love! Agreed with this! 99 was the height of trance/dance in the mainstream charts and tracks like Chicane's "Saltwater", Yomanda's "Synth & Strings" wouldn't have been on a NOW pre-99, though we have to wait until Now 46 for an out-an-out trance megahit like Rank 1's "Airwave". Maybe it's because I was at the age where I loved everything in the chart at the time, but those Now in the 40s are always bringing a smile to my face. Edited June 2, 201312 yr by Doctor Blind
June 2, 201312 yr I got Now 43 for my ninth birthday in March 2006 and I listened to that album ALL SPRING. I might actually make a rate of the songs in the Pop forum if I've got time later! :D
June 2, 201312 yr I will always feel nostalgia for Now 35. I remember seeing the advert at the time and then my brother getting it on casette. Now 61 reminds me of holidaying in Ireland (was able to pick it up before the UK release!) I loved disc 1 so much.
June 2, 201312 yr Now 39 and 53 have been favourites of mine. Now 11 was my first one and holds a special place in my heart. All the house music on side 4 is pure brilliance.
June 6, 201312 yr Ok, I retract my statement about Now 43. The second disc is pretty good. Damn right. Is "Incredible" by M-Beat (Now 29) the only jungle song in the Now series? Jungle music just reminds me of that Father Ted episode where they get a new Father Jack who is into Jungle music!
June 6, 201312 yr You might be right about M-Beat. There have been other DnB tracks but I can't think of any other junglist ones.

I have Now 29 - the standouts are True Faith '94 (obvo), Confide in Me, 7 Seconds, and I Love Saturday.
