So, the following singles are all getting released on the same week:

Chase & Status feat. Louis M^ttrs - Lost And Not Found

Icona Pop feat. Charli XCX – I Love It

John Newman – Love Me Again

Lucy Spraggan – Lighthouse

The Saturdays – Gentleman

Sebastian Ingrosso feat. Tommy Trash & John Martin - Reload

It's going to be a massively competitive week, assuming that none of these releases are getting pushed forward or back.

Where will the following songs peak and who will win this battle? :o

My predictions:

#01 Icona Pop

#02 John Newman

#04 Sebastian Ingrosso

#06 The Saturdays

#07 Chase & Status

#24 Lucy Spraggan

EDIT - Sebastian Ingrosso now releasing 8th July so no longer part of this battle.

EDIT II - Icona Pop now releasing 24th June so no longer part of this battle.

EDIT III - Lucy Spraggan now releasing 8th July so no longer part of this battle.

EDIT IV - Chase & Status accidentally released a week earlier so no longer part of this battle

Oh crap, I didn't realise Chase & Status were lined up for this week as well - there goes any hope of it being a second top 5 for them. Fingers crossed it can go top 10 but with so many other likely top 10 hits in the same week even that might be a stretch...

Icona will get #1, John Newman should hopefully manage #2, Sebastian Ingrosso top 5, The Saturdays top 10, not sure about Chase & Status but hopefully also top 10, Lucy Spraggan top 20 maybe.

I reckon John Newman will be #1. Icona Pop will have missed their oppotunity by then, the record company really are clueless if they insist on holding the release of 'I Love It' for another 4 weeks - with its use in the TV commercials, and the Soundbite for Smash Hits TV releasing sooner would be better (generate more sales). Would love for Icona Pop to get released this coming Sunday and give Union J a run for their money but alas that ain't going to happen.

The Saturdays will most likely go top 5.

Difficult to predict the others; I'll guess Chase & Status (top 20), Lucy Spraggan (top 20) and Sebastian Ingrosso (top 40).

Icona Pop's record company would be absolutely crazy not to push the release forward - with multiple fake versions doing so well it's ridiculous to leave it another month! With that in mind, I'll say:

01 Icona Pop - I Love It (before this date, but I'd equally not be surprised for them to leave it - it will get #1 regardless)

01 John Newman - Love Me Again (#2 if I Love It isn't pushed forward)

03 Sebastian Ingrosso ft. Tommy Trash & John Martin - Rewind

05 The Saturdays - Gentleman

08 Chase & Status ft. Louis M^tters - Lost and Not Found

17 Lucy Spraggan - Lighthouse (could equally be about 10 places lower)

I think John Newman will get the #1 and while it is a great song, I would of course love the incredible 'I Love It' to get it! Even if John gets to #1 though, I think Icona Pop will stay longer in the top 10! 'Reload' will probably complete a brand new top 3 as well!

'Gentleman' will probably only get low top 10 due to being overshadowed by all of the massive new releases and Lucy Spraggan will either go top 10 as well (if it gets Radio 1 support - I think it has a chance of doing so but we'll find out next week!) or do similar to what Tich managed on iTunes which would still be great!

I haven't heard the Chase & Status song but it'll probably just get inside the top 10 based on what people are predicting.

#01 Icona Pop

#02 John Newman

#04 The Saturdays

#05 Sebastian Ingrosso

#08 Lucy Spraggan

#11 Chase & Status

#108 Fenech-Soler :(

Icona Pop will burn out ala Chris Malinchak if the record company represses it for another FOUR weeks. It's about time OA/OS should be made mandatory for chart eligibility.

01 John Newman – Love Me Again

02 Sebastian Ingrosso feat. Tommy Trash & John Martin - Reload

04 Icona Pop Feat. Charli XCX - I Love It [if held back for another month]

06 Chase & Status ft. Louis M^tters - Lost and Not Found

09 The Saturdays – Gentleman

11 Lucy Spraggan – Lighthouse

So long to wait for these great songs that are all already gaining momentum as we speak, why wait another whole 5 weeks???

At any rate John Newman for no1!

Going to guess John Newman, with Icona Pop being a HUGE #2 or climbing to #1 later.

I'm going to predict the same prediction and I don't think that Icona Pop will go to #1 unless the record company release the song earlier.

The Saturdays is the only one of those songs I've even *heard* yet, so I'll have to delay my vote...

I echo this post as well

Is 'Reload' really being expected to do big things? I saw it #1 on Sweden's iTunes chart last week (or maybe the week before) and gave it a listen on YouTube but it didn't sound like a monster hit in waiting. Doubt it'll be as successful as 'Don't You Worry Child' anyways.
I don't think it'll be MASSIVE but I think it's safe to say it'll be at least bigger than 'Calling (Lose My Mind)'. Predicting it to do similarly to 'Antidote'.

I reckon it'll be something like this:

1. Icona Pop / Charli XCX

2. John Newman

4. Sebastian Ingrosso / Tommy Trash / John Martin

5. The Saturdays

9. Chase & Status

18. Lucy Spraggan

01. Icona Pop / Charli XCX

02. John Newman Number One if Icona Pop released earlier

06. The Saturdays

12. Sebastian Ingrosso / Tommy Trash / John Martin

15. Chase & Status

36. Lucy Spraggan

I can't see Lucy Spraggan getting any support at all.

You forgot Iggy Azalea - Bounce is being released that week.

It's not out until the week after

I get the feeling at least one of these releases will be pushed forward/back (and i'm not sure it'll even be Icona Pop, although maybe if one of the fake versions eventually does a 'Precision Tunes', then their label might reconsider :kink:)

08 Chase & Status / Louis M^ttrs

02 John Newman

10 Lucy Spraggan

04 The Saturdays

05 Sebastian Ingrosso / Tommy Trash / John Martin

This will clearly be bought forward ala "Blurred Lines".

01 Icona Pop / Charli XCX

I can't see Lucy Spraggan getting much success with her new song. I'm thinking that it would chart at #23.
