i have really really high hopes for this record, she's clearly taken her time to create a cohesive body of work (i believe i read somewhere that she did much of the album with dave kosten)

 

for me 'froot' is easily her best now, her songwriting craft and ambition has come a long way.

She really is thirty seven shades of MAD though this woman.

How can she "Beyoncé" the album if we already know this much about it already? We knew nothing about Beyoncé's album until it was actually released.

 

I'm really excited for this now!

I never thought she would Beyoncé it for a second, nor did I think it was a good career option for her! I was just expressing my excitement and I want to hear it now :P

This era's being planned out really well so far imo. She's building hype, 'Froot' is the perfect single for both pop Marina and indie-pop Marina fans. Her label have realized the importance of streaming and there's an epic music video on the way, it's like a breath of fresh air from the chaos of Electra Heart

Electra Heart seemed a messy release although I liked the idea of story narration in the music videos. Wasn't done well IMO but still.

 

I hope Froot and expect it to be a much solid album

'Froot' is now available to pre-order on iTunes with the title track available now as an instant grat. 5 other songs already have the song lengths available so going by what happened with Ella Henderson's album and her instant grats, we should expect 5 more instant grats in the lead up to the album release on April 6th!

Like the cover but doesn't live up to the other artwork this era unfortunately.

Single is an instant grat off the album! Get involved everyone. Album not until April 6 though.

Today I want to tell you about my new album.

 

It's called "FROOT" and this is its logo.

 

My album is made up of 6 colours, each representing a different "Froot".

 

I've come up with an idea that I hope you'll love and want to experience together... It's called "Froot of the Month".

 

When you pre-order "FROOT", I will send you a new track every month up until the album release. So, 6 new "FROOTS" will be dropping in to your inbox over the next 6 months.

 

Each “Froot of the Month” has it’s own colour, visual world and "Scratch ’N Sniff” scents to explore.

 

Today is 11/11. Our first “Froot of the Month” is GRAPE and I’m giving you the track “FROOT” straight away. Who knows what’s next? It’s a fruit machine! You don’t know which one you’re gonna get...

 

I want to tell you that I have absolutely thrived on your support over the past 5 years. Thank you, genuinely, for all the confidence + love you have given me. I want to create an experience that we can all be a part of and share together, no matter where you live in the world. And for the first time ever my album will be released Worldwide, so you will all be receiving each track on the same day!

She could still hold back and release 2 singles after Froot maybe. But I'm still concerned, I really want her to manage a couple more top 40 hits, preferably a top 10 in there somewhere.

I'm thinking the same. It all looks so pretty though, so I'm sure I'll end up getting it regardless!

I think the album cover is my favourite of hers..or a close second to 'The Family Jewels'. I'm a sucker for hand lettering so naturally love them both. Was never keen on the 'Electra Heart' artwork though!
