All artists need some sort of commercial success to pay for their work, simple as that. They're not that different from the Average Joe in that way - if it doesn't pay they just can't keep on releasing.

Of course "artistic integrity" gets thrown around but no one's here for that, boo boo. The good news is that she's projected to sell around 40k in the US, which isn't bad for an artist of her status there. :arrr:

I didn't say she didn't need commercial success though.

45k sales is amazing actually and Im really hoping it will sell decently over time in the US, especially considering how well it's held. Sadly the UK are not feeling her this time but she doesn't need to worry about that much.

Mostly just ones I'm less familar with at the bottom, and Valley Of The Dolls which is pretty crap. Radioactive is NOT 11th though, wut. That'd be top 5 for me but then I don't want to take anything in the top 10 out of the top 10

Omg. The rate I did included all of her songs! I'll try and find the link to it.

I'd say on the whole it's pretty accurate, but there's a few amazing tracks near the bottom which should *technically* have the same praise as some of my top 15 but I suppose that's just the cons of having such a great back catalogue.

I didn't click "I like both" or "No Opinion" at all...

Updated list (I only did "no opinion" if they're both too bad for me to choose between, it happened a couple of times).

I'm not familiar with a lot of the ones near the bottom hence their low placing, not heard them in ages! The top end is spot on though

Happy is growing on me now! It could end up being the best track on the whole thing.

Savages, I'm A Ruin and Happy are by far and away my top 3 <3 There are some great tracks and this is a really solid effort again but because Electra Heart in my top 10 of all time and TFJ is top 40, Froot is really paling by comparison, as a whole.

Very accurate! Are there any more of these? I remember doing one with Taylor a few months ago and it's really interesting.

There are lots here!

Back on topic of the album, I gave this a listen in full today for the first time and I really enjoyed it. I'd heard 4 of the 'froots' beforehand but they all sounded so much better in the context of the album, particularly "Happy" and "Immortal". Tracks 1-6 are much better than the latter half of the album, with my favourites probably being "I'm a Ruin" and "Blue". I still can't stand the title of the album - what is "froot" supposed to symbolise - but it's such a solid album and so much better than Electra Heart!

She said she liked the metaphor of fruit ripening until they're ready for consumption; she feels like she's at that stage in her life when she's finally content and ready for life - she's ripe, like fr-oo-oo-t. Spelling-wise, she said she liked how playful it looked (Fruit looked too serious apparently) and enjoys the concept of combining nature with artificiality of which this era's tour aesthetic, ~neon nature~, is based on.

Also, why not? :P

or it's a tribute to her large boobs, hence the two capital Os.
