I love how people think the world revolves around their favourite female pop stars and that they're responsible for every music trend.

Anyone know if one direction are releasing another single off their album..I know off topic

Rock Me is rumoured to be getting a release soon but IDK if it'll actually happen. Bring on album #3! ^_^

Looks like 'Lights On' could actually outpeak 'Reload' (and become Angel's highest peaker in the process) :o

Taylor Swift  #8

Venus Palermo  #62

haha so true esp on these forums!

haha so true esp on these forums!

I've seen people say before that Crazy in Love popularized urban music. In Da Club and Ignition were bigger and more influential hits, plus LOADS of songs from 2002 and before which paved the way.

I bet the same will happen again. In a couple of years some female pop star will have a big hit with an R&B song and everybody will completely forget about Blurred Lines, Mirrors and Thrift Shop and credit it all to her lol.

I've seen people say Britney Spears started the teen-pop trend too, which is just as stupid. And that she started the dance-pop trend with Gimme More, when there were numerous songs like that before it.

I wish they would reduce Mark Owen's stars single and it needs something to give it a boost, i really did not expect this to do so badly, it is nowhere to be seen on itunes top 100, does anyone know where it is showing up?

 10. Lights On (ft. Angel & Tinchy Stryder) - Wiley [also #84]

 45. I Love It (I Don't Care) - Venus Palermo

4th consecutive Top 10 hit beckons for Taylor Swift.

Also the 7th top 40 hit from the album without a re-release! (Kind of similar to Calvin in that 5 of those came before the album though :P But of those 5, 3 were not even proper singles).

Venus Palermo seems to have climbed quicker than the other Icona Pop fakes did. It'll be deleted very soon anyhow, to make way for yet another one. How many of these are there going to be? :P

Tinchy Stryder back in the top 10 on iTunes. I wonder if he'll be able to make a successful comeback? I thought Dizzee's chart days were pretty much over after 'Scream' flopped so hard but then 'Bassline Junkie' was big and 'Goin' Crazy' looks set to be massive so Tinchy could well make a strong comeback as well.

 37. Venus Palermo - I Love It (I Don't Care)

I think Loreen peaked at #37, so this could be just about to become the highest peaking tribute version yet!

 396. Avril Lavigne - Complicated

This was used at the end of yesterday's BBC coverage of the Canadian Grand Prix!

That's ridiculous and slightly undermining towards the residents of Buzzjack. I'm sure that most members can see which song arguably started off a trend without resorting to sorely owning it all to female artists. I'd have left this forum a long time ago if that was the case.

Happy to see Lights On climbing, I prefer it to that Antenna song

 09. Wiley "Lights On" (also #86)

 34. Venus Palmero "I Love It (I Don't Care)"

Wiley looking to potentially out-peak "Reload" with this one. Will become Angel's highest charting single at the same time.
