I categorise her as R&B/Soul too on my iTunes so I think that she belongs in this section just as much, if not more, than in the pop section.

I'd categorise the album & her music in general as R&B/Soul, but with a pop edge. I don't think there's any problem with her topic being in this section? It's a compliment, if anything!

Haha no, problem at all. It's just that sometimes some artists get categoried as "urban" because of the colour of the skin. Maybe it's just me but if she was white I bet she would be seen as pop. Or maybe it's the diva-ish thing. But yeah I think her album is pretty much pop (and amazing). :)

She is quite clearly has massive soul influences in her sound. There is no problem with this being here.

It was discussed in the mod forum as is the case with most artists that blur genre boundaries.

Can confidently say it has NOTHING to do with the colour of her skin, and was merely decided because she does SOUL music which is a component of what this forum offers. Yes it's soul-pop but until we get a soul-pop forum we have to decide between one of the two existing ones :P

Rebecca collapsed at the end of her performance on Loose Women today, so sad! I hope it's nothing serious and she feels ok now. :(
Well the publicity should work in her/the single's favour ;) (Not suggesting it was a stunt). I'd like to see her get a post-album hit, i.e: at least top 100. She tweeted that she's fine anyway.
Poor Rebecca. I hope she's well, such an amazing talent!
Girls been trending on twitter a lot today, any rise for the single on itunes?
apparently this is all a publicity stunt :o

Oh come on, this is Rebecca we're talking about. I don't think she would ever consider doing that.

Just listened to this for the first time since it was released. It really is a very accomplished, cohesive album and it's a shame the campaign died down so quickly. By rights, 'We'll Be Fine' would have been a big hit.
