This section sees four songs released by 2009 drop out: three of them from Leona's sophomore album and at #19 is "I See You", the theme to highest-grossing film ever, Avatar. It's a fairly 'nice' song, definitely sounding better in context of the movie I imagine (having only seen it once I remember nothing about it). "Lost The Found" features long-time collaborator Ryan Tedder's band on guest vocals. "My Hands" is another fairly uplifting song, building up to its final chorus, and charted due to featuring in an advert for a video game. "Can't Breathe" is by far my favourite of the section, and is a breezy mid-tempo R&B song which would've been a perfect single from the campaign.

WHAT A *.* SECTION! 'I See You' is nice enough, I guess. But the others were genuine contenders for my #11's <3 Particularly 'Lost Then Found'!

This section features Leona's supposed 2011 'comeback' single, "Collide", which caused controversy after Avicii accused SyCo of plagiarising his track "Fade Into Darkness". The agreement ended with Avicii receiving an official credit, and the song became Leona's lowest-charting lead single to-date. It's one of my favourite songs by her, it's nice to see a dancier side to her music, and I'm a huge fan of piano riffs and this one is just perfect! Drawing with "Collide" is "Broken", taken from Echo, it's a nice drum-lead track featuring some of her strongest vocals on the album. The penultimate cover to appear is of a Roberta Flack song that has been covered millions of times before (and continues to be covered). It's a very sweet cover (I've not actually heard the original though), but it is nothing new for Leona or anyone else that has covered it.

Phew, thank goodness Collide didn't make it any further. Shame Broken couldn't go a little higher too, but I'll take 15th (even if it is behind a poor rendition of one of the most overrated and overdone songs ever).

"The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face" should've been #27 on exactly 8 points - I inputted one of its scores a bit too high  :( Everything else is in its correct position though.

Kicking off a three-way-tie outside the top ten is "Trouble", the lead single from Leona's latest album, which we've already heard about earlier. Most people seem to prefer the rap-free edit, including an additional middle eight by Leona, and I have to agree that it's better this way. Also appearing is "Forgive Me", the single that was supposed to launch the re-release of Leona's début album, until it became her first single to miss the top two. It's a fairly fun upbeat number, although it does sound very dated listening to it now (thanks Akon). Finally we have "Footprints In The Sand", the second single as part of Leona's double A-side released for Sport Relief in 2008. It's the worse of the two songs (and you all seem to agree as "Better In Time" is still to come), specifically for the more emotional performances complete with choir for the final chorus.

The top ten still to come are...

"Better in Time"

"Bleeding Love"

"Come Alive"

"Glassheart"

"Happy"

"Just Stand Up!"

"Naked"

"Outta My Head"

"Run"

"Take a Bow"

Giid top 10, aside from Just Stand Up (WTAF??), Happy and Glassheart. Especially when a couple of my actual top 10 (Footprints, Broken) just missed out.
Glassheart is easily her best songs tho :smoke:
Oh my! *.* 'Just Stand Up' is incredible. My favourite charity song, ever. And THAT performance! Nicole's face during Natasha Bedingfield's part is phenomenal.
Glassheart and Happy are EASILY in my Leona top 10

Yes. Really.

The acoustic version is quite lovely, but that style of production on a Leona song is just too incongruous to work. See Outta My Head for how to do a Leona up-tempow.

A top 5 of Take A Bow, Glassheart, Outta My Head, Bleeding Love and Run would be perfect.

Just Stand Up, really?

We start the top ten with two songs from Echo. The first of which, "Happy", is arguably Leona's last worldwide hit to-date. Released in late 2009, it was tipped by many to be a fourth #1 for Leona, combining the successful formula of past songwriter (Ryan Tedder) and emotive message ("Bleeding Love"). It just missed out on the top spot, and the parent album failed to sell an inch of what predecessor Spirit did. At #9 is "Naked", a country-pop inspired uptempo also from Echo. I recall it being one of my immediate favourites upon hearing the album for the first time, and Buzzjack agrees, placing it second out of the whole album here!
