I quite like it too. On an album of so many songs, it's not one of my top favourites, but I definitely think it is a good blend of stepping into the hip-hop world and still being true to Madonna. It seemed she embraces nostalgia and her past with the Rebel Heart era and I think she captured that well with her spoken, slight-rap verses.

Yes omg I love the references! "And when I struck a pose all the gay boys lost their mind" is iconic :whip: That's what makes the song one of my favourites on Rebel Heart. It would've been so great to have like a video montage of old music videos and clips playing behind her if she had done this song on tour.

Agreed, it could have been a really good trip down memory lane moment on the tour.

One of her debut's finest. It's got a real punk energy about it; almost like her interpretation of Debbie Harry.

'Veni Vidi Vici' is such a bop and would've been explosive on tour - not sure why it wasn't included, it fit the theme perfectly! I guess the 'Rebel Heart' (song) montage did it well though~

La Isla Bonita from Sticky & Sweet.

I love how she mixed in Latte *.*

for what seems to be the 78th time I'm trying (really f***ing hard) to get through Hard Candy. Candy Shop remains a career low and the rest just blends into one horrible blob of shit.

Hard Candy >>>>> Confessions

And Candy Shop is one of her best songs ever.

'Devil' is to Hard Candy is what 'Ghosttown' is to Rebel Heart - an absolutely perfect example that Madonna still has that ability to create a song that makes you sit back and think "WOW!". Obviously there's been plenty of great moments in her recent discography, but these two have what it takes to be modern day Madonna classics.

X-Static Process

WHY has it taken me this long to fully appreciate American Life, what is wrong with me!?

Edited by No Sleeep

'X-Static Process' is a beauty and Madonna always gave 110% when she sang it live at the time, however I do tend to find it ranks near the bottom of my American Life rank. A great deal of that is down to the album being perhaps Madonna's most consistent and closely-scoring, but the other songs also have something slightly more going for them or rather something that impacts me more.

'Intervention', 'Mother and Father' and 'Easy Ride' are some of the standout tracks for me. Her rendition of the former on the Tears of a Clown mini-tour really tugged at my heartstrings, especially what with everything that was going on between her and Rocco at the time.

Mer Girl. Took me a long time to get into this but wow

'Intervention', 'X-Static Process' and 'Nothing Fails' are my faves. I love 'Nothing Fails' towards the end, when the choir comes in...

Now Sky Fits Heaven  ROL is on repeat today :D

See the choir put me off 'Nothing Fails' for a while. I've since got back into it big time but I'd still prefer the choir not to be there, or at least for them to tone it down a bit. It's not like 'Like a Prayer' where the choir enhances the joyful mood and the rest of the production is so full on too.

I've had Ray of Light playing in my car recently - 'Sky Fits Heaven' is definitely a good 'un!

Miles Away is quite possibly one of her most underrated singles. I adore it, the lyrics are captivating.
I meant ballads, but singles works as well.

I think it could be other Liam's very favourite Madonna songs, or at least one of them.

It's generally quite underrated though. I do enjoy it myself, particularly the album version where it starts to fade out at the end whilst she's singing "so far away".
