No one cares about Le Wanted?

I'm sure there are plenty of people who love a bit of 'Walks Like Rihanna'. As the saying goes, one man's trash is another man's cover blanket...oh no, wait. :D

I think it's just the jawline of the one who sings first that has me appreciate it ^_^ the lyrics are appalling :puke2:

That's why I said "not many". I'm doing media at uni, so we've had lots of lectures about illegal downloading and Napster and all that kind of stuff. I can show you the lecture slides if you don't believe me, but there's honestly not many people that do both. Most people that legally download don't illegally download a song here and there.

And I work in sales/marketing and see, experience customers's shopping behaviour, practices, habits. So what?

What you learn, study in school is completely different to real life experience.

Don't get me wrong I don't want to argue with you. I'm sure there are a lot of truth in lectures and studies, but I'm sure people's behaviour is not so easy to "measure". Everything I've learned was so much different in real life.

"(because they don't know how to, or for moral reasons)"

In the worldwide spread of the internet I can't really believe there are so many people that don't know how to download a song without buying it (just search on Google). With the moral reasons I would argue too but it must be said there are some people that morals are very important of course, but this can't be seen in general either imo.

And surely there must be people who will purchase any track they can (if you see what I mean) but will make an exception for stuff that's not commercially available to them. I have been known to do that.

I fall into that category. I buy every track I want that is available on iTunes or on an album but songs like 'Back To Black' by Beyonce/Andre 3000 I'd have to rip from Youtube since it's not available to download individually.

I see this Leeroy bloke has been retweeting people who think he's going to get played on the radio tonight because he's T40 now:

Wales must have their own chart :kink:

Somebody else claims he's the first Welsh solo rapper to chart. That can't be true, surely?

You mean he's not the first Welsh rapper to even *exist*?

I'd like The Wanted to briefly overtake Robin Thicke so the latter loses the #1 impact, then The Wanted will naturally fall and hopefully Icona Pop will be waiting to take over. Or something.

This is what I reckon will happen, with The Wanted plummeting (perhaps out of the top 10) by Wednesday. It's just being boosted by fan base/ North East Live effect right now.

#3 will

#7 Icona Pop (not far away from #4) 4, 5, and 6 are pretty much connected to each other.

You mean he's not the first Welsh rapper to even *exist*?

Why wouldn't they?

Goldie Lookin Chain and MC Eric from Technotronic were the first charting ones I thought of. Tystion, who rapped in Welsh, never made the Top 40.

THIS LORQUEEN HATE. WHAT EVEN IS IT?! EW.

'Euphoria' genuinely is one of my favourite songs ever now (top 5!) and it's the only one to come from Sweden, so it definitely is the best thing to come from Sweden, imo. :kink:

One thing we can all agree on though, Sweden is definitely the country who knows how to do a brilliant, short, sweet pop song! Nobody does pop quite like the Swedes <3 (Max Martin is one half of the best mainstream pop producer, imo and he's from Sweden!)

This!

It's an amazing song.

I hope not. Last time that happened (Loreen was #1 on iTunes) Buzzjack crashed.

Loreen was no. 1 on iTunes?? :D I knew she officially got #3, which wasn't high enough for one of the best tracks of last year, but you know. If it had beenr eleased normally and not through Eurovision, it would have been a multi-week no.1.

Looks like 'I Will Survive' will be the only top 10 hit from The Voice then ('My Immortal' #15 and 'I Will Always Love You' #16, they must have more or less peaked now and I expect both will just repeat what 'Killing Me Softly' did last week minus the boost at the end of the week so scraping top 40 if they're lucky). It doing so well seems to have been a misleading indication of the success of The Voice tracks, it definitely seems to be the exception rather than the rule. Bet it'll climb back ahead of Andrea and 'IWALY' soon.

'Suspicious Minds' now the lowest of the last batch of Voice tracks (#63, Matt at #54) :o Odd after Mike did the 2nd best in the first 2 weeks. I suppose this is a much less contemporary song though.

"""Leeroy""" up to #34.

They need to release a Leah version of Bang Bang. If they had, that would probably be the no.1 uh no.1 contender.

You clearly haven't followed the charts for long. The Wanted will not be out of the top 10 by Wednesday. It's a rolling chart so even the most frontloaded of songs rarely fall out of the top 10 so quickly if ever.

They also need to bring back Fame Academy, at least that had some chart success.

How is The Voice not having "some chart success"? It blatantly is.
