June 24, 201313 yr Not entirely sure why there's been such a big Bruce Springsteen revival in the lower top 100 of the albums chart either. I'm guessing that his other albums are discounted due to interest in the re-release of The Essential Bruce Springsteen (as in people will come across them when searching for The Essential and being discounted would encourage people to buy them).
June 24, 201313 yr Bruce Springsteen has also been playing a few dates in the UK so people seeing him for the first time (where have they been all this time?) might have bought some albums as a result.
June 25, 201313 yr It's actually not implausible that people are going to see Springsteen who know his big 70s and 80s albums but are less familiar with his newer stuff, so it could be them coming away from the gigs and buying Wrecking Ball. And I know on at least one night he played Darkness On The Edge Of Town (which is from the 70s but relatively less well-known) in its entirety.
