The Australian female rapper Iggy Azalea signed to Mercury Records is about to release her official second single in the UK on July 7, 2013, her most commercial song to date "Bounce".

It premiered 2 months ago on BBC Radio 1's Annie Mac show and the music video was shot in India and uploaded May 6 on VEVO (it's about to hit 5 million views).

About a month ago it also became available for pre-order on iTunes and a few remixes were then released online.

Iggy Azalea - Bounce - EP - iTunes

Her last and debut single "Work" was released back in March and after a few weeks on the chart managed to hit the top 20 on the Official UK Singles Chart (peak #17, #3 Urban).

She has been gaining some buzz in the last few months thanks to a few appearances here and there (BBC Radio 1 Big Weekend, Chime for Change, Channel 4's Smells Like Friday Night, Glastonbury tomorrow) but she's still a relatively unknown name.

The track has just been A-listed on Radio 1 and has been climbing the Airplay Chart in the past few days (currently #59 w/ 10.88m impacts and 327 plays).

Can she get a big hit with this song or will it do average (or even flop and fail to chart in the top 40)? Will the song out-peak "Work"?

Keep in mind all the current big tracks that are still selling a lot or are still about to be released in the next few weeks and may block "Bounce".

Would ideally be a huge Top 3 hit, but I think at most it is unfortunately going to peak in the lower ends of the Top 10 :(.
I can see it charting between #12 to #15, all the hype it seemed to have has completely disappeared. Only the Radio 1 playlisting could help it go top 10, but its by no means certain in my opinion.
Radio 1 A-listing doesn't mean anything. Laura Palmer by Bastille has been A-listed for weeks and I'm pretty certain was the most played song on Radio 1 last week (or the week before) and that didn't even manage Top 40! Granted Iggy is more urban and commercial than Bastille but it doesn't by any means guarantee a big hit.

It might scrape top 10 but I imagine it will peak between #11-15.

She posted on Twitter that she wanted it OA/OS, but that her label wanted to hold it back to ensure it peaked high. While I'll definitely be downloading, it would've done well to be released last month.

Regardless, I think T10 is likely. Whatever happens, I just hope it can stick around for a while.

I hope it cracks the top 10 but yea its been "out" for a long while now :/ I thought that was how a lot of the UK releases were handled to help the initial sales peak or something though ;x

The EP is only like #300 on iTunes UK albums and I can't even find it on the singles top 1000, I know it's pre-order but it's out next Sunday  I think it's going to flop

I think the label were just positive that holding it back for so long would ensure it debuts rather high; given that "Work" climbed all the way to a #17 peak. A bad decision on their part really, even Iggy has expressed her frustration. I think it would've done perfectly fine on an OA/OS release, or at least a month ago; when the hype for 'new' material was there after "Work" had charted.

I'm thinking top 15 at the moment, top 10 would be lovely but I can't see it happening.

And I do agree that it's been held back for too long, I'm pretty much over it now. :(

I'm going to say #22.

Don't see the appeal of "Bounce". I think "Work" is much better, so hoping that will remain her highest charting entry.

Well hopefully people will still support Iggy and buy it :(
