June 30, 201313 yr Hall of fame by the Scripy re-bounding very well the last few weeks, anyone know why? Love the song though so im happy. Was the new Michael Buble single officially released last week? i know he is not really a singles act but i thought i would go top 75 at the least, the album has realy benefited from the single though returning to the top 5 this week. Nice to Andrea Begley offically make the top 30, she has already gone one step further than last years Leann Mitchell. Didnt expect Olly Murs Dear Darlin to stay top 10 this week so its a nice surprise and likewise to see his album still top 10 and troublemaker re-enter the top 75. Nice to see Biffy Clyo get another top 50 single. I see Michael Bube's crazy love album is back in the top 100, im almost sure this is on the verge of hitting 3 million sales.
June 30, 201313 yr Wasn't that Bingo Players earlier in the year  they are from the Netherlands and that is not a scandinavian country. :P Was there even a danish/norwegian/finish Nr. 1 in the last years? The last one i can think of was Whigfield back in 1994  Edited June 30, 201313 yr by steps
June 30, 201313 yr Author Hall of fame by the Scripy re-bounding very well the last few weeks, anyone know why? Love the song though so im happy. Its latest couple of climbs are due to The Script performing it with Andrea on the final of The Voice UK. Shame it just missed out on a top 40 re-entry, would have been a far better opening to the chart than 'My Immortal' :(
June 30, 201313 yr Hall of fame could end up their biggest selling single, its not all that far of 700,000 sales now.
June 30, 201313 yr I shouldn't imagine so if 'Girlfriend' is the follow-up, they really need to scrap that and release something else. I think I heard they were doing a song with Katy Perry? So that could do well.
June 30, 201313 yr El Oh El @ everyone (including me) forgetting that Avicii is Swedish. d'oh of course, how come I didn't think of him
June 30, 201313 yr I believe the last #1 by a non-Swedish Scandinavian act was Aqua - Turn Back Time in 1998 (although A1 had a Norwegian member).
June 30, 201313 yr Mariah Carey is doing well without doing anything... There's songs which have sold a million without the artist doing anything! I agree though, the song has done really well. Edited June 30, 201313 yr by Eric_Blob
June 30, 201313 yr I believe 'Life On Mars?' was re-released on 7"picture disc last week, and presumably it trickle-sells a decent amount every week.
June 30, 201313 yr 21 including Tom Odell of the top 40 albums this week have been previous number 1's, is that the most we have had in the top 40 at anyone time does anyone know? Or is that just a piece of useless information on my part? <_<
July 1, 201313 yr I wonder where Sweden ranks in terms of countries that have produced number ones. Wonder if they're in the top 5 with UK/USA/Ireland/Canada?
July 1, 201313 yr I wonder where Sweden ranks in terms of countries that have produced number ones. Wonder if they're in the top 5 with UK/USA/Ireland/Canada? Australia must be higher thanks to Kylie alone! And I guess Germany had Kraftwerk, Lou Bega, ATB, Nicole, Fragma, Tomcraft and probably loads that I'm missing. Sweden are almost certainly top ten though, and taking into account only the last year I'd imagine they're only behind the UK/US. Canada and Ireland don't produce THAT many #1's these days whereas we've had Avicii, Swedish House Mafia and Icona Pop recently. They're an amazing powerhouse for music for a country that should technically be so insignificant on a global scale.

Yeah was thinking Australia would be up there also, I was talking about an all-time list (if there is one), where Boyzone & Westlife's efforts will have helped Ireland. If you're talking about country of birth though, India must have done well with Cliff Richard & Barbados with Rihanna.
