December 3, 201311 yr Surely Judith may still be alive considering they didn't find a body? That's what I thought. Just because they found her empty car seat, doesn't mean she's dead. One of the others could have just taken her in their arms because it's faster!
December 3, 201311 yr That's what I thought. Just because they found her empty car seat, doesn't mean she's dead. One of the others could have just taken her in their arms because it's faster! Of course it's also likely they just didn't want to show a dead baby on screen
December 3, 201311 yr Author On Talking Dead, the producer (i think) basically implied it. "oh there's the baby seat with loads of blood in it,.i wonder if she survived!" - it was the way he said it though which convinced me. Although, I guess it's one of those moments where they could actually bring her back if they wanted. (Plus isn't there a rule or something in regards to killing off children?) That's probably wrong though.
December 3, 201311 yr This was a great episode - this should've been the season 3 ending really. The way they had to reestablish the governor with a militia felt a bit clunky and would've made more sense with the Woodbury lot but it was still pretty well done. My initial reaction to Judith's empty chair was that she was still alive but I've seen that this is roughly the point she dies in the comics. It's one of a few nice cliffhangers to end on though.
December 3, 201311 yr I thought it was really well done. The desperation in Rick's voice when he tried to plead with The Governor was excellent. A really well planned out scene. Hershel's death was always coming. I don't think Judith's dead. I think someone will have her, and I also think that was done to aid Carl's plot development, cos I'm sure he's the one whose been mauling the rats. I like the fact they're all split up, although I hope they're not all split up for too long, but it will make an interesting few episodes. Inevitably one of the groups will meet Carol.
December 5, 201311 yr That episode was Amazing. So pleased for the governor, it was basically the most painful and horrible death he could get, and he surely deserved it. All actors were great and on point, such an exciting episode really. I can't wait to see what'll be happening next. It's like a whole new adventure.
December 6, 201311 yr Oh wow :o what an amazing episode, just blew me away, and in some scenes it was jaw dropping when Herschel got the chop, I didn't see that coming, mind you the character was coming to its natural end. The whole episode was so tense and riveting. I like to know where the series is going now, since the governor is out of the picture permanently. And I also think Judith is still alive, I think one of the young girls just took her out of the baby chair, carrying the baby chair would be much of a hindrance and slow things down , that's my take on it. February seems too far away for the next episode, that episode just left me wanting more.
December 21, 201311 yr Author The Walking Dead Season 1 entered this world with an impressive 5.35 million viewers and a 2.7 rating in the coveted 18-49 demographic. That was great for AMC. Fast-forward from 2010 to 2013 and Season 4 arrived with 16.11 million viewers and an 8.2 rating in the 18-49 demo. That's totes McGoats insane. Every season the ratings go up and it's hard to even say how high it could go. Vulture took a look at 2013's TV ratings, and the report is filled with back-pats for The Walking Dead. Here are some of the TWD highlights. Cable had a big year in general, and five of the top 25 shows for viewers under 50 were on cable. The Walking Dead had the No. 1 show in all of TV for viewers 18 to 49. That’s the advertiser sweet spot and it’s kind of amazing that a cable show in its fourth year beat everyone. Vulture added that the demographic most likely to make cable shows a hit is men under 35. So that’s an interesting bit of trivia, and five of the top 10 shows in that demo were also on cable, led by — what else — The Walking Dead. Breaking Bad followed at No. 2, with Duck Dynasty at No. 3, South Park at No. 6, and Game of Thrones at No. 9. But TWD is so popular it even made the top 10 list for women ages 25-54, who seem to be more likely to watch network shows instead of cable. As Vulture noted, the only cable show on that demo’s top 10 list is The Walking Dead, which just scraped by at No. 10. The most popular shows for that 25-54 female demo are The Big Bang Theory and Grey’s Anatomy, with The Voice, NCIS, and Scandal also making the top 10 cut. We knew TWD was popular with women — we are some of them! — but it’s impressive to see how many people of both genders and all ages watch and love the show. TWD is also doing great when it comes to video on demand. Vulture got an advance look at a report Comcast is going to release later this week on its top Xfinity on Demand shows. Downton Abbey was the most-watched show for that, but TWD was in the top five. There were probably a lot of fans who felt compelled to watch Downton on demand because they had to watch TWD live. Sunday nights are cutthroat and apparently we know who’s winning. Long story short, The Walking Dead is awesome. Everyone watches it. It rules the ratings. You knew that, but it’s still cool to see the numbers grow every season. Turns out, zombies are the great equalizer. How ironic, if they could bring us world peace. The Walking Dead Season 4 returns on Sunday, February 9 at 9 p.m. ET on AMC. Sources: Vulture, TV by the Numbers http://www.wetpaint.com/walking-dead/artic...ow-tv-breakdown
December 21, 201311 yr I thought it was really well done. The desperation in Rick's voice when he tried to plead with The Governor was excellent. A really well planned out scene. Agree with all of that! The best Lincoln has been for a long time. I was generally disappointed with how the show was going - series 2 and 3 weren't a patch on series 1 but series 4 picked up quite a bit (particularly with the return of David Morrissey) but this episode made up for ALL the weak points since series 1. Plus I just loved Daryl's scene where he rolled the grenade down the gun turret of the tank - then the camera pans around to see him just execute the Governor's henchman.
December 22, 201311 yr Really hope the do what happens in the comics next as that would be amazing. I do wonder how they will finish this season now with only 8 episodes for the new arc to have crazy season finale.
January 14, 201411 yr I'd often wondered on the math and how long the in-universe zombie apocalypse should last. Thankfully so has somebody else. Obviously not definitive but fun. http://www.buzzfeed.com/daves4/heres-why-t...-any-damn-sense And I still can't work out who's cutting the grass
January 16, 201411 yr What an awesome show! One of the best for sure! Cant wait for the next season!!
February 12, 201411 yr Soooo good. They pretty much stuck to the comics. Brilliant character development for both Carl and Michone.
February 13, 201411 yr I like that we finally got to know a bit more about Michone's past. Also liked Carl's developpement. It was a bit random how she found them in the abandonned house at the end, but I'm still happy they're together now. Edited February 13, 201411 yr by Hayzayy
March 4, 201411 yr Is anyone else sticking with this show? Nearly at the end of Series 4 now and last night's episode was a new low. Its beyond boring now - its just laughable. Bad ideas, lazy writing, direction-less direction and godawful acting! I'm starting to wholeheartedly agree with those people on IMDb that I once called trolls! Edited March 4, 201411 yr by Kath
March 4, 201411 yr Perhaps it's just because I am a Walking Dead loon but I really enjoy these slower paced episodes, and this show pulls them off tremendously well. Okay the acting is sometimes a bit sub par but the way this show fleshes out all it's main characters makes me so much more invested in them when the action strikes. Plus this slower pace is just going to make the ending episodes seem so much more jam packed.
