I think Gentleman's not doing too bad. A fall from 14 - 30 - 49 was not as bad as I was thinking! 30 Days and My heart takes over pathetically failed, but this should be able to sell over 100k eventually

I appreciate your optimism regarding this release but Gentleman is just as much of a failure if not even more of a failure than the other two. I would say it's tied with MHTO as their biggest flop, 30 Days didn't do that poorly considering the circumstances. It was released after a huge flop and a hiatus and still managed to chart at #7 and earn decent first week sales.

I guess, but I still think it hadn't done too badly. Alexandra Burke's singles had all failed after Elephant. Im thankful it didn't go that way at least :S

It's not tied with MHTO at all, actually. That song barely sold 42k (which Gentleman already did) and it was out of the top 100 on its fourth week. Gentleman seems like it could hang on a bit more and sold just as much as 30 Days.

Gentleman isn't a massive flop (see Party Over/Let It Go/Professor Green's current single etc) but the fact it's not only peaked at #14 but killed the airplay the girls worked hard to get back, I'd say it definitely set them back alot.

I'm glad the girls took a risk but I'm disappointed at how it's turned out. I think the song is pretty catchy but there's definitely some problems with the structure and production and the video is f***ing awful. At least we can't ever say they play it safe again (although IMO they don't actually ever play it safe. Forever Is Over, Missing You, Notorious, All Fired Up and Gentleman are all different sounds for The Sats).

The most optimistic thing that can be said about 'Gentleman' at this stage is that its fourth week position will be better than 'My Heart Takes Over', and its total sales will be a bit better. That's still quite sad though. :kink:

15-28-46-130 [My Heart Takes Over]

14-33-49-(Top 70?) [Gentleman]

I was rather shocked when 'MHTO' slumped 46-130-Out. :o

The airplay for My Heart Takes Over was even worse, though, so it could explain why the drop...

Maybe not tied in sales, but definitely tied in regards to chart run. So far at least.

Hm, 'Gentleman' tumbled 60 places on the airplay chart this week and should drop out of the top 100.

So?

That is My Heart Takes Over airplay chartrun : 89-66-51-45-43-45-OUT.

So yes, airplay wise, My Heart Takes Over did even worse than Gentleman.

Can't believe I just found this!

Yup :) That was long time. She seems to love the girls....There were a string of GloZell fans, commenting on Gentleman's youtube page, atleast for few days, simply saying glozell got them there. But this did not seem to provide drastic improvement in views.

Oh, I was talking official chart run, not airplay chart run.

My Heart Takes Over 15-28-46-

30 Days 7-17-30-

Gentleman 14-33-49-

Gentleman's official chart run has been about the same if not worse than MHTO.

I wasn't talking to you babe when I posted the airplay chartruns! Sorry! It's just that Wall pointed out it did worse than MHTO on airplay while it did something pretty similar.

Gentleman drops 37 places to number 86 this week. Better than My Heart Takes Over's drop in its fourth week, but i dont see Gentleman getting a fifth week in the Top 200 at all as its currently #197 on iTunes. Even What About Us is at #189.

It will get another week top 200 if it's #197. Remember there are MANY multiple versions above.

'Gentleman' is at #208 and #223, and like Joseph said, there's many multiples above them. It'll most likely get a 5th week in the Top 200!

'What About Us' at #210.

Mollie totally nailed Frankie's parts in Gentleman.

The rap part is pretty much the same on both side, although I prefer Mollie's tone, but the part after it is just total other level. Mollie's higher register is just better, somehow. You can actually hear her.
