I agree - I a very strong vocal from her and much better than the Sessions. I mean, I still stand by that I think she has a very basic vocal range, but she did the best with what she had. Quite beautiful really. I also agree it would have done better for the album as a second single. I still think it's the best third single choice for her - hopefully she releases it as nothing else on the album compares to me.

One of her best live performances I think, if not her best? Very good! Still got stick for it on Twitter.

For some reason it's been uploaded to the official Children in Need channel as "Goodbye Means Hello" - did she perform that as well last night?

 

 

I thought the performance was very elegant. I don't think the vocals were amazing but the emotional was clearly there. She sang the notes very well on the "you're only human" lines I thought. I'm pleased she has managed to elicit a largely positive reaction though!

They've corrected their mistake. At the first the video was named "Cheryl Cole - Goodbye means hello …", what a mess :lol:

I'm sad it's only #57 though, I was hoping it would go higher.

I think that was really really good :o I'm very impressed. I love her but I'm the first to admit she isn't the greatest singer ever, although that was beautiful. It wasn't perfect or anything and there were a couple of flat moments but if that was Sam Smith for example singing that exact song like that everyone would wet themselves over how amazing and stunning it was and ignore the flat parts :lol:

I'm really hoping she'll do a performance like that on The X Factor final but I don't think she has the confidence sadly.

Such a shame her best album gets her worst chart position. But never mind, hopefully it can be a good seller in the long run, there's at least 2 more singles in this.

It could be worse I guess! Was a ridiculously competitive week. Should've been #1 though :(

I've been prepared for #7 for pretty much the whole week, so I'm not terribly disappointed. Would have expected Top 5 at least prior to this week though, but never mind! Hopefully there's life in this album era and she releases another single (or two!) from it.

Sales just 22k :( Disappointing all round for the album, hope it doesn't bomb from now till Xmas.

I'm worried the album won't even go silver...at #38 at the moment on iTunes. Such a shame as it's her best album for me. I like Queen but isn't this like the 1000th f***ing greatest hits they've done? It shouldn't have beat Cheryl.

Annoyingly this has fallen to #25 in the first midweek, which might put it as low as #30 in its second week. It's quite worrying. I know it's not her strongest album for me, but I was hoping she cold get some decent album sales so that there is a higher likelyhood of a Brit nomination. I really do urge the rush-release of Only Human.

21,000 on opening in week in quarter 4 was a big indication the album would not be hugely successful, the midweek information for this week suggests the album will be very low down the chart as Christmas draws near. The album should manage 100,000 eventually.

She does need to get 'Only Human' the song released as a single though ASAP I think to keep the album ticking over Christmas and New Year.
