085. Zedd feat. Foxes "Clarity" (60)

German DJ Zedd got his first top 40 hit with this song earlier this year. With a powerful chorus helped by British newcomer Foxes and a similar structure to Titanium, it was surprising that it only peaked at #29. However it has been massive in the dance scene and is now a top 20 smash in the US.

084. Lasgo "Something" (62)

And now we go back to a song where trance and eurocheese meet. The female vocalist is the main attraction of the song, and lyrically it is about her being in love. However my favourite part is the introduction, which repeats itself a few times in the song.

083. H "Two" O feat. Platnum "What's It Gonna Be" (62)

The second of two garage songs in the countdown, however this is 5 years older than You & Me. It's a fun song but it is now largely forgotten by the general public, most likely due to the garage scene not being that popular these days. My personal favourite of the mid 00s garage revival is T2's Heartbroken which is not in the countdown. Seeing as that was a bigger hit it's surprising to see that WIGB is more loved on the forums.

082. Calvin Harris feat. Ellie Goulding "I Need Your Love" (63)

The most recent of his singles to appear on the countdown is this. With the lovely Ellie Goulding on vocals it's very hard to dislike. It may use the same formula as all his other singles, but if it ain't broke it doesn't need fixing! It's one of my favourite songs of the album, which is not easy when you have songs like Drinking From the Bottle and Let's Go which are excellent but not quite as good as INYL.

081. Cascada "Miracle" (64)

Somehow I have not heard this song before. Well I can't leave this description blank so first listen here we go. It's everything I expect from early Cascada, cheesy lyrics, a hardstyle breakdown after the chorus and nothing that Everytime We Touch doesn't have. I'm surprised it's got this high as it's just an inferior version of that song in my opinion.

080. Hot Chip "Ready For the Floor" (64)

A nice indie-dance song to start the top 80, I was never a big fan of the song or the band but this song is nice enough.

079. Mylo vs. Miami Sound Machine "Doctor Pressure" (64)

Now something I can get behind a bit more, this was one of my favourite songs back in 2005 and I couldn't get enough of it! Mixing disco and house together to make a nice groovy song, the vocals are from 80s song "Dr Beat".

078. Basement Jaxx "Romeo" (66)

Poor underrated "Good Luck" never made it onto the countdown, but we do have this from the duo, which is a nice funky house song but not one of my faves of the countdown.

077. Fatboy Slim "Right Here, Right Now" (66)

My personal favourite song of his is (bad pun alert) right here in the countdown and I'm going to review it right now! With it's strings and big beats, it's hard not to love this song. I would recommend watching the video too as it's very creative and unique.

076. September "Cry For You" (67)

Inspired by Supermode's "Tell Me Why" (which really should be in this countdown), this was September's breakthrough hit in the UK. There's nothing really special about this imo - however I can see why all the pop fans love it. It's a good listen though but the sample just makes me wanna turn it off and listen to Tell Me Why.

075. The Prodigy "Smack My Bitch Up" (67)

My favourite song of theirs, and their second-highest song on the countdown. It's another one of their big beat songs that they're known for doing, but this time with a catchy bassline and THAT lyric.

074. Inna "Amazing" (69)

How appropriate that Inna got 69 points for this song :kink: The official follow up to Hot which somehow scored more points than it. Hot and Sun Is Up are my personal favourite Inna hits but this is great too.

073. ATB "Don't Stop" (70)

It's great to see some appreciation for this song, which in my opinion is better than "9PM". What makes me like this more is the emotion that ATB puts into it. It's indescribable really, they don't make trance like this these days. :(

072. Duke Dumont feat. A*M*E "Need U (100%)" (70)

One of my favourite songs of 2013 sits at #72. The lovely vocals of A*M*E with Duke's house production make this a very nice listen. The lyrics are simple but effective, and the song itself has 90s influences which can never be a bad thing.

071. Mad'House "Like A Prayer" (71)

Another song which I had never actually listened to before now. It's quite nice, and more housey than I expected - but the vocalist is a lot weaker than Madgina which lets it down for me. A quick look at their album tracklisting tells me that all they do is Madonna covers, which may be why this was their only hit. I'd rather listen to a Madonna greatest hits set than this tbh.

Surprised to see 'Amazing' higher than 'Hot'! :o Both are fantastic though however 'Sun Is Up' is my favourite Inna song!

070. Chicane "Poppiholla" (72)

This is one of my favourites on the whole list, and by far the best thing Chicane has ever done. Inspired by Sigur Ros, it's a simple piano melody put to a laidback dance beat and it works so well. For full enjoyment of the song listen to the 9 minute version.

069. Swedish House Mafia feat. Tinie Tempah "Miami 2 Ibiza" (76)

The first of four of the Swedish House Mafia's 6 hit singles that are in the chart, Antidote and Save the World having missed out, is this. Musically it's very similar to One which will be higher up, but Tinie's rapping adds individuality to the song.

068. Afrojack feat. Eva Simons "Take Over Control" (77)

The second Afrojack song in the countdown, and one that should've been bigger in the charts than it was. It's got Afrojack's definitive sound but with more commercial appeal which works, as the vocals and production go very well together.

067. Love Inc. "You're A Superstar" (70)

A nice slice of 90s dance. Yes, it is actually from 1998 despite being released in the UK four years later. There's nothing groundbreaking about the production but I love the vocalist in this song.

066. Deee-Lite "Groove Is In the Heart" (78)

Maybe I'm too young to enjoy listening to this, or maybe I had to be there at the time - because I'm not a big fan. Very cheesy but it has become a club classic despite that.

Brill to see Don't Stop make the top 75, it was a very worthy follow up to 9PM (Till I Come) and I've always found it criminally underrated.

065. Katy B "Broken Record" (79)

Katy's third single from her debut album, I was never a fan of this but it's listenable.

064. Cascada "What Hurts the Most" (80)

Another Cascada song without any standout features, like Miracle I wasn't aware of this song's existance at the time - and listening to it now I clearly wasn't missing out.

063. Cascada "Evacuate the Dancefloor" (82)

This Cascada song is better than the last, it's a catchy harmless dancepop tune which is largely forgotten about now despite being a big #1 in 2009.

062. Katy B "Katy On A Mission" (82)

And the better of the two Katy B songs finishes higher, but only by 3 points. This was her breakthrough hit and also one of the first big dubstep songs. She has still not bettered this imo.

061. Swedish House Mafia feat. Pharrell Williams "One (Your Name)" (82)

And finally a song in this section that isn't by Katy B or Cascada. This was the breakthrough single for the Mafia, and the first single of theirs released under this name. It's easily my favourite song in this section, listen to the song and you'll see why this was the biggest club hit of 2010.

Enjoying the countdown thus far. :)

ATB, Baby D, Darude, N-Trance, or Olive for the win.

060. JX "There's Nothing I Won't Do" (84)

I didn't know about this song before the countdown, but what a discovery it is. So typically 90s but it's great! It was a #4 hit in 1996.

059. Tim Berg "Seek Bromance" (86)

And now a song I'm much more familiar with, Avicii's breakthrough single which he released under his own name. I didn't love it very much at the time but in hindsight it's one of the best songs he's ever released!

058. The Prodigy "No Good (Start the Dance)" (87)

I'm surprised this is now officially Buzzjack's favourite song by The Prodigy as it's not one of their best or their most well known songs, but it's good. Fedde Le Grand of 'Put Your Hands Up For Detroit' fame recently did a cover of it which is a lot better imo.

057. Cascada "Glorious" (87)

The most recent of Cascada's five entries, this was sent into Eurovision and flopped but clearly it didn't flop on Buzzjack. It was one of my personal favourites of the 2013 contest but I don't listen to it anymore.

056. Utah Saints "Something Good" (88)

I'm not very familiar with the original but the 2008 remix is great. Better than that drum n' bass remix of What Can You Do For Me anyway, but that was good too.

I've had a busy weekend so been a bit of a flop with this but hopefully I can get the rest of these done this week ^_^

55 - 51

055. The Chemical Brothers "Hey Boy, Hey Girl" (88)

This is a proper classic and it's the song they are best known for, however I do prefer their song Galvanize.

054. Energy 52 "Cafe Del Mar (Three N' One Mix)" (90)

Widely recognized as an anthem among fans, this is a great example of euphoric trance - but there are better trance songs out there such as Airwave which is in this section.

053. Sash feat. La Trec "Stay" (92)

This is good but I would have preferred Ecuador in its place. It's a nice trance meets pop song though which you wouldn't find in the charts today.

052. Florence + The Machine "Spectrum (Calvin Harris Mix)" (92)

The first UK #1 single for Florence was this remix of Spectrum which gave life to the song which it lacked of in the original version.

051. Rank 1 "Airwave" (93)

Now this is one of the reasons I love trance music. High tempo beats and the focus of melody instead of finding the biggest bassline (I do like bass music too for the record). This song has all of those things plus a lovely buildup which leads into a real hands in the air moment. These types of songs are really missed in today's EDM scene. :(

050. Mason vs. Princess Superstar "Perfect" (33)

Finishing in last place in the final voting is the only song of Mason's that has been noticed by people including myself, but what a fab song it is - helped by the rapping of Princess Superstar.

049. Bodyrox feat. Luciana "Yeah Yeah (D Ramirez Mix)" (34)

One of my favourite songs of 2006, and the song that introduced us to Luciana, and neither her or Bodyrox have produced a song better than this - but following up a song as good as this would've been a challenge for anyone.

048. Eric Prydz "Pjanoo" (36)

This is a song with a simple piano melody, but it works so well - and it has become the Prydz song of choixx for that reason.

047. Calvin Harris "I'm Not Alone" (45)

This was the song that proved that Harris was a chart force and he was here to stay. When I first listened I was surprised at how different it was in style to the 80s influenced I Created Disco era, but I loved it and I still appreciate it now.

046. Ida Corr vs. Fedde Le Grand "Let Me Think About It" (47)

And yet another great song of the mid-00s dance scene, Fedde was the master of making infectious dance records - it's a shame that after 3 hit singles he disappeared back into the underground scene where he is respected even today.

045. PPK "Resurrection" (53)

A beautiful trance song from PPK which has a lovely outer space feel to it. It's best when listened to in its full 8 minute version.

044. Avicii "Levels" (56)

My personal favourite song in the list, despite it being recent it is so good! Many fans of the EDM scene have gone off this as a result of overplay but I'm still a big fan.

043. Swedish House Mafia "Greyhound" (60)

The second highest charting single from the Mafia in this countdown is their instrumental track "Greyhound" which was the only single of theirs to miss the UK top 10 - but despite that it has become a real club anthem and one of my favourite songs of last year.

042. Chase & Status feat. Liam Bailey "Blind Faith" (66)

The last dubstep song you'll see in this countdown is Blind Faith, which is so anthemic and has aged very well in my opinion. The mystery female vocalist in the chorus is a highlight.

041. Tomcraft "Loneliness" (67)

And we finish this section with another trance song, although one that's not as good as Resurrection. It's still a tune though and one of the highlights of the year 2003 which was lacking in big dance hits.
