GaGa's not climbing fast enough to snatch the number 1 from Ellie. Ellie has this in the bag I think (unless GaGa cleverly reduces the price to 59p or something, which won't happen).
I can see I Don't Need a Reason having similar chart success to H-Town unfortunately. :(

At least it is a fairly good song, superior to H-Town I would say, I don't think H-Town was even a proper single

It will be interesting to see where it goes in at. I reckon 3 or even possibly 4

No sorry, that's not what I mean.

I obviously don't know the exact numbers, but say we did the poll asking people how many of them are gay, it would probably come out something like this:

Overall public: 10%

50 Cent fans: 1%

Lady Gaga fans: 50%

Not saying those would be the exact values, but they would come out VERY different, and it wouldn't be coincidence.

...What?!?!

This shit isn't for real. It can't be.

I don't know what H-Town was, but it was awesome.

I haven't laughed this much since kiss the stars choreography!

Gaga has to be trolling with that song!

Did she record the verses on a vibration plate? :P

Just ignore Jack, Eric Blob. He has a passionate hatred towards both of us and making a mockery of his insults just winds him up more.

Lord have mercy on me.

YEP everyone hates you coz everyone's so jealous of HOW AMAZING the two of you are OBVIOUSLY. DUHHHHH. It doesn't have ANYTHING to do with the self-indulgent immature completely wanky posts you make every once in a while NO WAY

what a MARTYR

Oh okay. Phew.

Anyway, I know everybody is fed up of me going on about Lady Gaga, but I think this is actually my first Lady Gaga melt-down in quite a long time. I'll try my best to stop talking about her again.

To be fair with you you're not the only one that had a Lady Gaga meltdown in this thread yesterday and today although in a different way

I'm definitely going to ask to have What Do You Take Me For played at my funeral.

I think 50 Cent - In Da Club would suit you better than Pixie Lott tbh :)

...What?!?!

Not every artist has the exact same demographics in their fanbase you know? For example One Direction have a fanbase of mostly females, Robin Thicke's fanbase is mostly black people, Michael Buble has a fanbase with a higher age than average, Taylor Swift's fanbase is mainly Republicans, etc. It's not sexist, racist, homophobic, ageist, etc. to notice these things.

How do you know all of this? You don't know. You can't assume statistics just because they seem good from a stereotypical point of view. You're saying it as if people who aren't part of these groups of people can't be fans of these artists.

I'll give you 1D and females and even Buble with older people but what does RACE or POLITICAL VIEWS have to do with FUCKING MUSICAL PREFERENCES though?

Sorry, but you're extremely naive if you think country and R&B fans have the same racial make-up as each other.

There's a club near me which often has a room devoted to bhangra music, and there's a higher proportion of asian people in there than in the rest of the club. I don't understand why I'm having to explain this sort of thing to people, I thought it was obvious. Just look around you, seriously.

Oh wait I completely forgot the world is only the UNITED STATES. :manson:

The first link doesn't say anything about races, it just says something we already knew. At least the men/women taste differences are logical. But rnb fans are mostly black?! That is some total bullcrap. Yes, most rnb artists you see on TV are black but that doesn't mean most of the dark-skinned POPULATION like it. Not every black person lives in ghetto (where rnb and hip-hop genres dominate, I'll give you that too) YOU KNOW.

Bhangra music COMES from India so obviously it would have more fans from Asia! :/ That is an example that doesn't really fit into this discussion.

And OMG someone posted some data about something I BETTER BELIEVE IT. United States is after all the ONLY COUNTRY IN THE WORLD.

(Oh and looking around myself won't help since like 95% people in Russia are white thanx)

sorry but a big percentage of One Direction's fans are young boys, and even older gay men, they just don't go to their concerts, and Robin Thicke's fans are in the same demographic as were Michael Jackson's fans, so they're definitly not all black!!!! as for Taylor Swift, well i don't think there are many republicans in UK ;)....

I posted two extra links afterwards, which actually DO have data about races, and proves there is differences between genres (although I think it was for the US so you might just ignore it again).

- I never said the world was only the US.

- I never said R&B fans were all black (I'm a white R&B fan)

- I never said most of the dark-skinned population like R&B, I said a higher proportion of R&B fans are black than the general population is

- Bhangra is relevent to this discussion. All styles of music are, you can't just pick and choose

I never said Robin Thicke's fans were all black. I said most of them are. Apparently his audience is 90% African American females (although that could be different now after Blurred Lines ). Watch at 2:40 in this interview:

There's a male One Direction fan on this forum I think! I'm not stupid enough to think they have no male fans, but I'm sure most of their fans are female.
