An all new top 4 could be possible this week

Well I wasn't wrong there! Not so many candidates this week though. There should be a fair few top 10 entries again (Gaga, LM, Celine, The Killers, Keane, maybe Russell Watson?) but Eminem and James Arthur at least should hold some ground.

Alfie Boe, Celine Dion, Cliff Richard, Keane, The Killers, Lady Gaga, Little Mix, The Beatles and Russell Watson should all chart high next week and Bruno Mars should climb a lot with the deluxe version if his album out

A quick look at Amazon too:

02. Celine Dion - Loved Me Back to Life

07. Alfie Boe - Trust

08. Cliff Richard - The Fabulous Rock 'n' Roll Songbook

10. Celine Dion - Loved Me Back to Life

11. Little Mix - Salute

31. The Killers - Direct Hits

Gaga still looking to be #1 even if it's not doing so well on Amazon right now - I think it was #1 on pre-orders there though. Probably looking at 100k+ but I doubt it will be more than Eminem, perhaps 110k-120k. Some expect it to sell less than 100k which I'm kind of worry about to be honest.

In other news, for the Wednesday Update, Eminem will probably be #2 whilst Celine Dion and Little Mix fight for the final position of the Top 3 (I think Celine for the midweeks with Little Mix eventually overtaking). The Killers, Keane, Cliff Richard, Alfie Boe and Russell Watson will also be Top 10 contenders - wouldn't be surprised if they were all Top 10 on the mids with James Arthur at #10.

New Album Releases

295. Kim Wilde - Wilde Winter Songbook

Very early for the Christmas music, but it's the most intresting album release on this week for me.

Pop chart

510. Diana Vickers - Music To Make Boys Cry (Deluxe Edition)

850. Diana Vickers - Songs from the Tainted Cherry Tree

I'm not sure where they were before, but Diana was on BBC Two's Never Mind The Buzzcocks tonight so it might have caused her albums to climb a little! :kink:

I think that the Top 4 albums will have very decent sales on Sunday. I can't imagine "Loved Me Back To Life" selling less than 40.000 copies..It's obvious that Celine fans know about her album because of her appearance on X-Factor.

The Erasure christmas album was released too and it looks great!!

One emoticon post is a spam and will be deleted. Please try to add at least something to the discussion. Thanks ;)

Seems like Robbie has the 1000th #1 album in the bag. Hopefully Jake Bugg can make #2 (depends on how well Eminem holds up, I'm expecting Jake to sell similarly to his previous album - 35k). JLS to follow at #4 with Lady Gaga dropping to #5 perhaps?

A total of 31 albums have gone to #1 this year so far... (with Robbie, if he gets there) a few returns to #1 for Calvin Harris at the start of the year, plus Emeli Sande, Les Miserables, and Mumford & Sons. And Richard & Adam are the longest #1 album stayers for 4 weeks :(

I reckon Richard & Adam will get the Christmas #1 album too.

I really doubt that. 'The Impossible Dream' got to #1 on less than spectacular sales even in its first week (and then managed 3 more increasingly flukey weeks at #1). They'll actually have competition with this 2nd album.

They'll sell much better at Christmas though. I just have a feeling they'll do well if they have a lot of promo coming up (I don't know if they do or not but Rod Stewart and Michael Buble had lots of promotion for their Christmas albums, perhaps helped by them being bigger names than Richard & Adam).

The Xmas no1 album is normally decided by how MORish the artist is and who has that prime time tv slot on the weekend of Xmas week - think an audience with boyzone is on the Friday before the Sunday of the Xmas week chart but who will be on the Sunday night??

This Sunday night slot the week before xmas usually has massive sales that week!!

 13. Michael Bublé - Christmas (Deluxe Special Edition)

I hope this year can get the number 1 ^_^

If it couldn't make it last year when the special edition was first released along with tons of promo, I doubt it will do this year. Will most likely go Top 10 though, probably Top 5.
