Posted August 20, 201311 yr eKcSwfTXveA She's back with a vengeance, finally. Sounding fantastic as ever. Let's hope this time her comeback will go smoothly.
August 20, 201311 yr The Hit? She really lowered herself to that trash? This will go nowhere, how embarrassing.
August 20, 201311 yr why is that woman getting so excited at the beginning? It's a TV show where a bunch of shit Irish songwriters send in songs and floppy Irish singers in desperate need of a hit get to look at all the songs and pick one. She recognised her song when Sam started singing it and knew her song won.
August 20, 201311 yr The problem with the hit is the songs debut high on week of release and drop rapidly the week after so they arent really hits, going by itunes she will win her round this week. Cant see it turning her music career around though.
August 20, 201311 yr Author Changing the subtitle is very immature, sorry. I can accept that you don't like it but don't make it seem like I was behind that.
August 20, 201311 yr Oh Samantha. Stay in 2000/1 and be content in the knowledge she you released one of the best pop songs of all-time in the form of 'Gotta Tell You'. ABSOLUTE GEM. This really isn't great, more the lyrics to the song than anything else, but she's still looking great!!
August 20, 201311 yr Changing the subtitle is very immature, sorry. I can accept that you don't like it but don't make it seem like I was behind that. I had to edit the title and I decided to have a little fun along the way. If you don't like it you can edit, it's no big deal.
August 20, 201311 yr Its been top 10 in itunes (Ireland) for the last few days, she might just have a top 10 in Ireland
August 20, 201311 yr I loved her during her "glory days" of 2000-2. Such a shame that an artist who achieved 6 UK Top 10s and 6 Irish Top 3 hits was let go of. My personal favourite is 'Always Come Back To Your Love'. This song is nice! The chorus is a bit odd lyrically, but it's pleasant to listen to anyway.
August 20, 201311 yr I rather like it too, just been watching the last couple of episodes of The Hit and it could definitely work in the UK if the right artists were involved. Plus I love the fact that such irrelevant artists are scoring themselves hits again
August 20, 201311 yr It's actually kinda good. I agree with Umi in that the show itself is awful but it churns out a few good songs like this. Ryan O'Shaughnessy's song from a few weeks back was great as well. Somebody Like Me isn't a patch on Body II Body or her other 'hits', but it's a decent effort.
August 21, 201311 yr Samantha Mumba was an artist who i believe always thought she was a much bigger star than she actually was. Her debut album and only album spawned 5 top 10 hits but the album itself struggled. I dont think she will ever trouble the UK charts again.
August 21, 201311 yr Bit boring tbh but I do remember loving Mumba when she was popular. Body 2 Body & Lately
August 21, 201311 yr Samantha Mumba was an artist who i believe always thought she was a much bigger star than she actually was. Her debut album and only album spawned 5 top 10 hits but the album itself struggled. I dont think she will ever trouble the UK charts again. I don't think her album did THAT badly. I remember it initially entered at No.21 in the UK. Then re-peaked at No.17 after another single. And then re-peaked at No.9 after another single. So it certainly didn't enter the chart and fall like a stone. And I think the album went Gold in the USA also. I loved all her singles from the first album and some of the album tracks were quite good. I also loved 'Sensuality' from her unreleased second album. Hopefully she stays on the come back trail and releases an album.
August 22, 201311 yr From what i can remember her album peaked at nuber 9 on the back of a re-release. The album did ok but at that time she was hugely popular and her singles did very well, based on this the album didnt live up to expectations and to my understanding barely scrapped platinum status.
