Yes that is sad but he explains it well - it must be horrible to have that feeling inside you dragging you down all the time.

Unless you walk in that persons shoes it's very hard to understand how they are feeling ..

Robbie Williams' furious attack on politicians' 'pantomime' — 'Don't trust system!'

Robbie Williams' furious attack on politicians' 'pantomime' — 'Don't trust system!' The former Take That hitmaker was shut down by his entourage when he began discussing politics ahead of his homecoming show at Port Vale's Vale Park stadium.

Legendary singer Robbie Williams stormed back to the top of the charts this month when his new album XXV became his 14th solo album to reach number one. As well as his brilliant return to form with XXV, which marks the 25th anniversary of his solo career and is made up of a range of newly orchestrated versions of some of his biggest hits, Williams is also appearing on the front of October's British Vogue -_- . On Friday night, the 48-year-old will be back on screens as he discusses his incredible career on The Graham Norton Show, alongside actors Jamie Lee Curtis, Eric Idle, David Tennant and Lydia West. While Williams, who was born in Stoke-on-Trent, is known for his amazing antics on-stage, as well as his loveable character off it, he stunned fans in 2019 when admitting he would vote for the first time in the upcoming general election. That vote saw the Conservative Party's Boris Johnson clinch a stunning victory over his Labour Party rival Jeremy Corbyn, with the Tory leader's promise to "get Brexit done" resonating with voters across the UK.

But during a press conference ahead of a performance at his beloved Port Vale Football Club's home stadium, Williams also claimed he found the then-current state of politics to be a "pantomime". The star, who had recently appeared as a judge on ITV's reality TV show The X Factor, said he had not been engaging with any of the campaigns, led by the likes of Johnson, Corbyn and the Lib Dems' Jo Swinson. He continued: "It's confusing, it's a mess, nobody's trustworthy. I don't trust the system, I never have. It's just never taken my interest. It's like saying 'Is that why you've never ballroom danced before?' I'm just not interested." The Angels singer added: "They don't talk for me, they don't talk to me, they don't appeal to me, they never have. It's just a pantomime that exists in a different stratosphere to the one I'm in."

It was a rare foray into politics for Williams, and more recently, he returned to more familiar ground when reflecting on one of his most famous collaborations, Kids, which featured the vocals of fellow pop sensation Kylie Minogue. The 2000 hit, which reached number two in the UK charts, became a huge international track for both stars, and featured the pair in some steamy scenes. For Williams, Kids was a period of his career he will also have happy memories of. Not least because he had the "longest crush on Kylie". He continued in a Metro interview this month: "I was honoured and I still am to be on a record with her. Dreamy. Still crushed. Still crushing."

Williams and Minogue never actually got together, with the singer married to actress and model Aydal Field, and in another confession the Supreme crooner discussed what he felt was the "worst video ever to be made". That accolade, Williams confirmed, should be given to his old band Take That's 1992 single Do What U Like. While he said it was the worst ever, he actually felt it in turn made it "the best video ever".

He continued: "I am roughly 17, maybe 16. We were given budget to style ourselves. Two things about that video. I was immensely proud that we done a pop promotional video. I also thought, nobody should ever see it. "We were of an era and an age where controversy was a good thing, and also I for one am one of those people that says, you know, if there’s a button and it says 'don’t touch', I’m going to press that button.

Robbie Williams net worth: Singer's staggering fortune from 25 years in the music industry

Robbie Williams has been making music for 25 years and has amassed a large fortune

Robbie Williams, 48, is a British-born musician who has a net worth of £269million ($300million). Although Robbie started his career as a member of Take That during the 90s, he became much more successful as a solo artist and is named one of the best-selling British artists of all time with over 75 million records sold worldwide. Here’s how he made his fortune.

He was raised by parents who ran a pub, and had a sister called Sally Williams. Initially, Robbie attended a Catholic school before switching to dance school, where during this time he performed in many musicals including Oliver! At the age of 16, Robbie Williams joined Take That where he sang lead vocals on a number of their singles. As a result of being thrust into the music industry, Robbie was exposed to drugs and alcohol from a young age. In 1994, he suffered a near-drug overdose at the age of 20. It’s reported Robbie became disinterested in the group and a year later, he left Take That.

His solo career started strongly when he released a cover of George Micheal's Freedom. The single charted well in the UK and launched Robbie's solo career.

n 1997, he released his debut album Life thru a Lens which contained the smash hit Angels - this song remains his best-seller in the UK to this day. The track helped his debut album sell over 2.4 million.

Next, Robbie released the album I've Been Expecting You in 1998 and it included the single Millenium which was his first number-one single on the UK charts. In 1999, he toured throughout the US and Canada to promote his new album and gain notoriety in the North American market. Robbie finally achieved international success with the release of Sing When You're Winning in 1999 - within just one week, the album was certified two times platinum.

In 2006, Robbie returned to the music indistry but went a different route and created an electro-pop album called Rudebox. Although the album sold well and achieved two times platinum status, it received poor reviews.

Three years later, he released the album Reality Killed the Video Star and made a strong effort to return to prominence during this period, appearing on X Factor to promote his new singles.

Then, in 2012, he released another album called Take the Crown and this album contained the hit Candy which became Robbie's first number-one hit in many years.

In 2018, Robbie joined The X Factor panel as a judge, alongside his wife Ayda Field, former One Direction star Louis Tomlinson and Simon Cowell. A year later, Robbie and Ayda announced their decision to step back from the show. That Christmas he released his first ever Christmas album, The Christmas Present, and this September, the singer finally released new music.

His album XXV is an exploration of his past. Discussing it, Robbie said: “I’ve got a complicated relationship with everything I’ve done.” He also announced a 2023 tour to celebrate 25 years of music.

I came across a tweet that was posted last week slagging off Rob's appearance on SCD tonight , the poster had used a video of a young girl who died last year as part of the skit. I ask how low can a person stoop to do something like that. I am not bothered about Rob being slagged off , that happens for every celebrity but to use a video like this is just dreadful, what would her family think if they saw it or her friends. Just shocking behaviour.

Yes...
