'He’s gone through exactly what I’ve just gone through': Ed Sheeran reveals he and Robbie Williams bonded over shared addiction battles

Ed Sheeran has revealed he was consoled by Robbie Williams and bonded with him over their shared addiction battles. The singer, 32, opened up during an upcoming appearance on The Jonathan Ross Show on Saturday where he said the Take That star, 49, made him feel 'less isolated' amid all the difficult things in his life. He recalled watching Robbie's documentary about his rise to fame and felt his career mirrored his own, with the two musicians facing many similar problems.

Ed explained: 'I watched Robbie Williams, he did a documentary, I remember watching it on TV and his rise to fame - obviously he was in Take That - but his solo career, I felt, was quite similar to me, in terms of trajectory and the venues he was doing and what the albums were doing and how big it got and how isolated it got, and how he had a problem with his weight, he had a problem with drugs, he had a problem with alcohol. 'I was watching this thing being like, "Oh man he’s gone through exactly what I’ve just gone through."'

He added: 'I emailed him and said, "Your documentary made me feel less isolated." And he was like, "Ironically that email just made me feel less isolated." It’s just good to talk about things.' Ed also opened up about the difficult time he had last year, and how he channelled it into his latest album Subtract.

The singer-songwriter said: 'I had a load of stuff happen at the beginning of last year… I made another album over the course of a decade, but then some stuff happened to me at the beginning of last year and I wrote this while that was happening and put the other one to the side. It’s kind of happened in a backwards way.' Opening up about what was going on, Ed explained: 'I feel like, this is the one thing about having adult stuff happen to you, is you realise that everyone else is going through exactly the same thing and I didn’t really talk to anyone about it… You never know what’s going on with someone.' As well as Robbie, Ed spoke about how important Sir Elton John's friendship had been, saying: 'He’s done everything, good and bad.

King Charles coronation: All the music stars refusing to play at the event

I love these headlines they come up with  , no mention about artists being committed to other things & just cannot drop everything ..

Gary Barlow, Mark Owen and Howard Donald are all set to take the stage, however, Robbie Williams - who started his music career as part of the boy band - hasn’t yet signed on to join them

ROB’S ROVING Robbie Williams says he’s still ‘homeless’ after admitting he doesn’t want to move to London or LA anymore

ROBBIE WILLIAMS once owned mansions all over the world worth a total of £44million.

But after selling his homes in Los Angeles, Switzerland and Wiltshire, he has had a change of heart about a move back to London – and is stumped on where to relocate his family. The dad of four, who admitted he was struggling to agree with his wife Ayda on a location, said: “We don’t want to live in California all the time. "It’s just not the best place in the world to be raising teenagers and we’re going to have four teenagers eventually. Life is too fast there. I grew up too fast. "There are too many ways to grow up even quicker. We want to avoid that.”

Speaking in Germany, he continued: “I don’t want to be in England all year round either. I’m just too famous there. I wish I could be as safe in my bubble as my kids are in theirs. “So the rest of the world remains for us. We haven’t decided where we want to live yet, but the question is on our minds.

“I would like to live in the Bahamas, but my wife doesn’t at all. “I love the heat there, I love summer, I love beaches and I love looking out on to the sea."I’m just a lot happier in the sun than in the European winter.” Robbie is enjoying a break in his schedule, with some downtime in Argentina, South America, before kicking off the next leg of his tour in Mexico next month.

Continuing his world tour will give plenty of opportunities for house hunting.

Meet the Housewives Andy Cohen really wants to cast — but can’t

Next on the list are Ayda Field Williams, the wife of British pop star Robbie Williams, and Chrissy Teigen, the model and TV personality married to John Legend. Both names have been bandied about as replacements for Lisa Rinna, who dramatically quit the RHOBH franchise after eight seasons.

Field, 48, checks a lot of boxes: She’s stylish, entrepreneurial, and is already good friends with cast member Crystal Kung Minkoff. And she and Williams, 49, moved their three children to Los Angeles from Switzerland this year, presenting a new plotline for the show. But The Post can disclose that for now, she is beyond Cohen’s grasp — and her reasons offer insight into why not every celebrity wants to be a Housewife, despite the fame, diamond, and $150,000 paycheck. “Ayda didn’t think it was the right time to start filming the ‘Real Housewives’ this year because it would have gone very deep into the family’s private life,” a production source told The Post.

“There would have been filming of the ins and outs of their family life. Cameras would have been in the home almost every single day. People don’t really realize but the cast film for six-eight months solid for each season. Each housewife has a cameraman with them almost every day. “Both Robbie and Ayda didn’t think letting the cameras in as they were just settling into their new life was the right time.” For viewers, the appeal is obvious, but Housewife stardom is a double-edged sword, the source said.

“When Housewives sign up they have to agree to show all of their life — marriage ups and down, the arguments, the fights, the children’s lives, all of it. Ayda and Robbie just didn’t want to give that out,” the source said. “Robbie is actually a fan of the Housewives franchise himself but had second thoughts about becoming the focal point himself. He sees his home as his sanctuary.” There is, however, a chance of an appearance from Field in the future.

“Ayda might consider joining the next season, but because of everything that she has to agree to, the amount of access the cameras need, I can’t see her becoming a main Housewife,” the source said. “She might agree to becoming a ‘friend’ to Crystal. That would mean less commitment but she still secures a great deal of screen time.”

This is the house Rob said was too expensive to run . Drake must think the same thing, he's selling it already  ( & looking to make a nice little profit )

Drake lists California home formerly owned by Robbie Williams for $88 million

Drake is selling his California home merely a year after buying it from Robbie Williams.

Despite spending $75 million (Dh323 million) to secure the sprawling 2,253-square-metre estate, the Hotline Bling singer has already put it back on the market, sparking speculation he may be shifting back to his native Canada permanently.

With a personal fortune estimated at $260 million, the Canadian rapper, real name Aubrey Drake Graham, bought the property a year ago. Set in the hills above Los Angeles, in Benedict Canyon, the home sits on eight hectares of land, has views over the ocean, city and canyon and is surrounded by its own lush gardens that come with its own orchard.

There are seven bedrooms and 13 bathrooms, and it comes with a luxury iamspamspamami fitted with grey marble-topped islands, plus a breakfast room, library, formal living, dining rooms, a family room and a cinema.

The staff quarters have three ensuite bedrooms, while the home is also equipped with a lift, a gym, a gaming room, garage space for 11 cars and a tennis court. ( This was the but Robbie couldn't cope with :lol: }

There is also a separate guest house, next to the outdoor swimming pool and an outdoor/indoor iamspamspamamithat has its own pizza oven.

Many rooms are fitted with floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors that can be opened up to the lush gardens and surrounding landscape.

The house became Drake's primary residence in the US last year when he sold his trio of properties in Los Angeles. Set within the gated community of Hidden Hills, two of the homes were sold to Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford for $11 million, while the third was bought by former US assistant attorney general, Makan Delrahim, for $14.8 million.

With his last US property now back on the market, speculation is that Drake may return to Toronto, where he has spent the last few years building his own home. Standing at 4,645 square metres, the house — that has its own indoor, full-size basketball court — has a mood lighting sculpture over the indoor swimming pool, and a bathtub carved from a single block of black marble.
