and also it's only 'bad boys', 'hallelujah' and 'the silence' which I hate out of her singles, the rest of which I either don't mind or actually enjoy, 'broken heels' in particular was a joyful song. I'm hopeful that the new song will be more in vain of that.

Doug you literally listed her two best (Bad Boys and Hallelujah, the latter is controversh I know) and one of her top 5 best as her 3 worst :(

I am sure Doug is being sarcastic, Broken Heels has been Alex's worst release and practically stalled the Overcome era.

The Silence is her best single followed by All Night Long then bad Boys.

I have liked all of her singles actually, I even enjoyed SWY at a 7/10 level. I like 'The Silence' but I find it over-rated and I wasn't praying for it being released off the album as much as everyone else seemed to be, although it is a very solid ballad, but not her best.

I was going to post my ratings, but it would kind of be repeating this. Bad Boys is easily her worst single so far and The Silence is so far above the rest of them it's almost unreal.

 

Elephant, when the original comes out, sounds like it'll slot in the middle somewhere, the remix sounds fairly promising.

'Bad Boys' is POP HEAVEN, Start Without You is DIRGE, catchy but certainly not in a good way.

I don't think Bad Boys is that bad really, it's her least good yes, but then she's had a fantsastic run of singles so far. The production sounds a bit crap though, at least to my ears. Plus I can't say Flo Rida's part does it any favours either.

 

I imagine Elephant will probably slot in just above it. It sounds like its going to be very 'current' (and as if I hadn't mentioned it enough) I hate the current electro/pop/dance sound.

 

Actually, I'm more a fan of balladBeast than uptempobeast anyway, most of my top 10 would be her ballads (Overcome, Before The Rain, Perfect and pretty much all the rest).
