May 3, 201213 yr Loving 'Let It Go' at the moment, a very uplifting track with a 90s vibe! I like the video also, nice to see an X Factor winner actually doing some moves. How is it doing on music channels and radio airplay? I hope she can get a performance slot on either The Voice UK or Britain's Got Talent around release time.
May 4, 201213 yr It's doing good on radio. It's risen like 500 places in less than a week. From premiere around 1900 or so to around 100 and something 3 weeks from release. Rolling 7-Day Chart Update Radio: 197 Alexandra Burke - Let It Go Label: RCA Plays: 548 Impacts: 4.45m LW Position: 641 (Up 41 places from Yesterday) I think Let It Go will be around #150 at the end of the week and hopefully it'll be top 100 next week TV: 22 Alexandra Burke - Let It Go Label: RCA Plays: 273 LW Position: 38 (Up 3 from Yesterdays update) Always check DS in a morning for updates.
May 7, 201213 yr I'm currently listening to Let It Go. Alexandra really needs to stop with the faceless dance tracks. Elephant was alright, but this is very nothingy. Give us another Bad Boys or Start Without You, PLEASE. :(

May 25, 201213 yr Only 2 days before 'Let It Go' is out, Where does everyone think its going to chart? am hoping for top 5!
May 25, 201213 yr #7. Album #9. I agree wit the single but no way is the album only going to get to number 9.
May 25, 201213 yr Single #6 Album top #3 but with low first week sales. Such a shame but with poor radio support and low profile her fanbase can only take her so far.
May 25, 201213 yr I just don't understand why radio have completely abandoned her. It's all quite odd.
May 25, 201213 yr I can kind of understand why. Her whole image is so cheap, she's being marketed as a z-rate popstar. There's probably a perception that she's a bit of a joke right now.
May 25, 201213 yr This is what her brother said on twitter, maybe her leaving Syco was not supported by them and they have pulled all her support. MrDavidBurke Questions I constantly ask myself..I just cannot pinpoint it! ..without bias, is Elephant/LIG anyworse than what's getting hammered already? David Burke Is this sabotage internal? ...external? Both? ..is somebody's nose out of joint because she moved on, rather than become 2nd fiddle???
May 25, 201213 yr ^I also think she seriously needs to have a word with her brother and tell him that he's hurting her career by spouting off about people who have the power to make or break Alexandra.

Please name any of the current UK singers that sing as well as Alex or are batter performers. Tulisa was a car crash on BGT, Cheryls new song is dire, Rita is flavour of the month. Live she is miles ahead of the others. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hvkhISQEfAw Edited May 25, 201213 yr by marrb

He is a fan of Alex, but it is pretty obvious to anybody without loon-tinted glasses that right now she is not seen as a relevant act, hence radio withdrawing support. That is mostly down to her management not marketing her as she deserves to be. The people you have just compared her to may have less talent but they ARE relevant and they are being marketed much better than Alex is.

Her IMAGE is cheap. She dresses cheaply, her videos are low budget, nothing about the way she's being marketed says THIS GIRL IS A STAR. The songs don't either. (I love Let It Go but it doesn't sound like there's anything else on the album to get excited over.) I don't know what the hell Cheryl, Tulisa or Rita Ora have to do with this discussion, although since you brought them into it all have good PR/marketing and are getting good buzz across social media etc, whereas Alex is virtually invisible.

I want to buy an Alexandra Burke album, I like her but the two singles I have heard from the fortcoming album are "nothing" songs to me and a complete waste of her potential. They could by any random dance act you choose to mention. Background Music on Kiss fm when you're doing the cleaning. It is a sad state of affairs though that acts like Cheryl get all the money pumped in when they have a 100th of the talent of someone like Alex. But we all know the british public are gulliable idiots who care more about Cheryls nice hair than the fact that she mimes and is pretty much useless. Rant Over
