September 9, 201311 yr I haven't found a 10/10 in BJSC in months, my highest score this month was a 9/10! I would have to be worthy of going top 3 in my personal chart for me to give out a 10. In fact there are probably only a dozen 10/10 songs that have come out this whole year for me, maybe fewer :o

In fact there are probably only a dozen 10/10 songs that have come out this whole year for me, maybe fewer :o thats why i mark out of 100, 95 or 96 is achievable but 100 is for perfection. La La La & Supreme are both 100 in 2013 though many are 99 or 98. its rare to get less than 30 out of 100. itd have to be truly abysmal to get 10 :lol:

In fact there are probably only a dozen 10/10 songs that have come out this whole year for me, maybe fewer :o Well for me 10/10 is basically a multiple week top 5 in my personal chart (though obv as time goes on it downgrades itself to a 9 or whatever, can't help being a bit ott for a while). But yeah I've only found four (excluding my own entries, 3 of which are 10/10) in BJSC this year and about 30 in total this year.
September 9, 201311 yr I'm not as harsh as some people in here clearly but I've become slightly more hesitant to give out 10/10s in recent months. Looking at this year so far, I've given 10/10 to: LI - 'Down On Life' (11/10), 'Apollo', 'Chronicles Of A Fallen Love' LII - 'Noise', 'She's So High', 'Global Concepts' LIII - 'Wolf', 'Platinum Chains', 'Luminous' LIV - 'So Close' (11/10), 'How's That', 'Gimme Sin' LV - 'Reach For The Dead', 'Leave The World Behind' LVI - none LVII - 'Take Me Home', 'Something About You' And in this contest so far I've rated one song 11/10 but no others have got 10/10 (though nine have got 9.5/10 and I do upgrade from 9.5 to 10 in the final sometimes). 11/10 for me is basically what John has described as his idea of a 10/10, 'Down On Life' and 'So Close' both went top 5 in my chart while 'Take Me Home' is the next highest charting BJSC entry other than my own, getting to #10. I have at least charted all of the above somewhere, generally a 9.5/10 is good enough to make my chart (so I'm going to have a LOT of BJSC entries in my next chart and basically give away my entire votes :D)
September 9, 201311 yr I think, overall, I'm probably more harsh than a lot of people. I've ended up with 8-10 songs rated a 5 or below virtually every semi this year. Though nothing was as bad as the semi in LV where I basically had 5 songs over a 7.

September 9, 201311 yr Well I can't help but disagree, never been a huge fan of the original but Arlissa's take on it is just so utterly beautiful.

September 10, 201311 yr I'm a bit distressed, my ICONIC entry is being predicted to be my biggest flop of the century. I'm actually at loss of words as to why, as it's an utterly gorgeous song. BYE @ everyone. Yal are all sonically challenged or high. :(
