You could be right Betterman, I fond it hard to gauge just from that clip alone, we hope to hear it on UK radio this week, maybe Friday

Had a listen on Itunes to the album samplers , I know I am going to love this album, not at all keen on Go Gentle , not my kind of song end of http://www.therobbiewilliamssite.com/confused2001.gif

Dream A Little Dream = Robbie & Lily sound great together, Lily has such a beautiful tone to her voice

 

Swing Both Ways with Rufus - sounds like a great Xmas song

 

No One Like A Fat Pop Star - absolutely fab arrangement with backing singers etc , a really stand out song & would be wow live on tv.

Overall I cannot wait to get my hands on this album, I am rather disappointed with Go gentle as the lead single, Robbie being sentimental again but that's Robbie . I think once the album is aired on tv is will do brilliantly , I will be totally surprised if it does not

 

 

I'm finding it difficult to get excited about any of it tbh :(

 

I think I'll just listen to the older albums that I like for now.

I like that kind of music Sparkle so it's right up my street, cannot wait for the tv show, I am going to love it :cheer:

Would love if Swing Supreme was a swing version of Supreme, it would suit the sound quite well I reckon.

I've listened to the snippets on I-Tunes. I absolutely hate it. It's a total mish-mash of crap songs of different styles. Bits of swing, random country songs, and wtf is the Fat Pop Star one? It sounds like something from the Go Compare insurance ad.

 

Dreary, dreary, dreary. And what's with the fake American accent? Ye Gods.

 

Sorry. I don't like this. I don't like Swing. I don't like Country. I could cope with SWYW (just) because the songs he covered were quite good. These aren't.

 

If I Only Had a Brain. Aye, if you had you wouldn't have released this album.

 

And Go Gentle sounds rubbish too.

 

Soooo, he loves Swing. Loads of people out there love Swing. Particularly females of 40+. You only need to look at Mr Bubble's popularity. I am obviously an aberration. I like my rock.

 

I just don't 'get' this type of music. Never have. Never will.

 

Will it sell? Is there a market out there for this album? Yeah, possibly. Probably.

 

Think I'll just opt out of 'Swings Both Ways' and pretend it never happened. I'll just listen to Take the Crown and watch the Tallinn dvd. That's the Robbie I love. Not this Robbie. After 6 months I'll emerge from the shower a la Bobby Ewing and it will all just have been a bad dream.

 

But meh, each to their own. I'm sure loads of Robbie fans will love this.

 

On the plus side, I like Shine My Shoes and Dream a Little Dream sounds nice.
