Well, the way things are going for me of late, I surely feel as though things I say/do are pointless...

No snow here in Florida, too warm for it....the high for the day here in my corner was 12C....me older brother, on the other hand, where he lives in the state of Pennsylvania, had 8 inches of snow, and the high for the day was a frosty -12C for the day today, with a wind chill of -26C....

I wish it were, Sparkle......so I would be able to start me new full time job Monday next, as a pharmacy technician.....it's about 5ish miles from the house here, and I'll have benefits with the job....health insurance, paid time off, sick time.....needless to say, I'm as happy as a clam.... :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:

Well, in a follow-up phone call from where I'm to start, the person hiring me told me she was a bit hasty in asking if I were able to start Monday 27 January.....seems she'd like to have me background check in her hands before having me start....which would push me start date back to 3 February....I'm still going in for tomorrow, the 27th, to fill out a bunch of new hire paperwork, along with picking up paperwork to go for a drug screen...

Well, I can see their side of things, not wanting to hire a felon or drug dealer.....since I'd be handling medications for people, some of them classified as 'controlled substances'.....controlled substances being stuff that has an increased chance for dependence or abuse....and, as to the drug screen, I can see where they'd not want to hire someone who MIGHT be having an issue with medications....they're hoping by Wednesday this week to have the criminal background check in hand, and the drug screen results by Thursday...then training....
