Posted September 16, 201311 yr How I compile my charts: With a few exceptions, I don't go out of my way to seek out new songs - I usually wait until I hear them on the radio. I mainly listen to Radio 1 and for this reason, most (though not all) songs in my chart are those which are played on Radio 1. I don't usually add a song to my chart until it's started gaining some airplay. Songs generally tend to climb gradually as they grow on me, peak and then fall fast, so the chart looks similar to an 80's/90's singles chart. I also usually get bored of a song within a few weeks, so songs don't generally tend to hang around the chart for more than a few weeks - typically around 9 or 10 weeks for a Number 1. September 16, 201311 yr Hi. :D I love Birdy's new song, nice to hear an original song from her although I must say her versions of 'Skinny Love' and 'People Help the People' are brilliant covers too. That said, I think 'Wings' could become my favourite of hers soon! Happy to see London Grammar and HAIM entering too, really excited about these two bands. Hannah from LG has an incredible, haunting voice, have you heard the album by any chance? My mum likes HAIM too; she reckons 'The Wire' has quite a glam rock sounding beat to it. I'm looking forward to hearing a whole album of theirs at the end of the month! :dance:

That said, I think 'Wings' could become my favourite of hers soon! Happy to see London Grammar and HAIM entering too, really excited about these two bands. Hannah from LG has an incredible, haunting voice, have you heard the album by any chance? My mum likes HAIM too; she reckons 'The Wire' has quite a glam rock sounding beat to it.
