13 :ne: Justin Timberlake - SexyBack (Download only)

Out 28.8.2006

Having been away from the music scene for the last couple of years to pursue an acting career (apart from the odd cameo appearances on records with Snoop Dogg and Sergio Mendes), Justin Timberlake finally makes a dramatic return to the charts with the Timbaland-produced 'SexyBack'. Not so much a comeback as a mission statement, 'SexyBack' acts as a taster for Justin’s forthcoming album, 'FutureSex/ LoveSound', his second since he departed the boyband N*Sync, becoming one of the slickest male solo artists of the 21st century. With dirty and sleazy synth riffs, processed vocals and lyrics oozing sexual intentions, 'SexyBack' might well just be Pop Single of the Year. The track also goes some way to cement Timbaland's status of being 2006's hottest producer, which he already demonstrated on Nelly Furtado's 'Maneater'. - HMV

Boy, Nothing against Mr. Timberlake but when I hear this on the radio I thought the batteries on the radio were getting low.

Sorry, Even he has chance to finally hit #1 in the UK which had eluded him since 2002 when he hit #2 once as a member with "Girlfriend" and three times solo with "Like I Love You", "Cry Me A River" and "Rock Your Baby". This is not a good record at all.

Well its not me, unless I had a sex change

Well, I'm not ruling anything out here...

10  (from 8) James Morrison - You Give Me Something

http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/9858670.JPG

Alongside Paolo Nutini, James Morrison is the latest UK male singer/ songwriter hoping to repeat James Blunt's meteoric rise to fame of last year. The owner of probably the most gobsmacking, charismatic, rootsy soul voice (somewhere between Al Green and Otis Redding) to emerge from a white Englishman, James Morrison releases his debut single, 'You Give Me Something', which is taken from his forthcoming album 'Undiscovered'. With a distinct lyrical intensity, this is a soaring bittersweet ballad, co-written and produced by Eg White (who wrote ‘Leave Right Now’ for Will Young). - HMV
