September 25, 201311 yr #12 is good for Britney considering the poor digital performance / unspectacular airplay. Maybe it'll be a streaming hit.
September 25, 201311 yr I think Katy will be back at #1 next week. I hope Drake gets a big boost from his album release week.
September 25, 201311 yr As far as I see it, Miley will be #1 for quite a while now - streaming (aka the video) is getting tons of views because she licks a hammer or something totally controversial. Her airplay is increasing rapidly and her sales are pretty similar to Katy. Streaming seems to count for a stupid amount anyway, The Fox got to #23 pretty much SOLELY on it.
September 25, 201311 yr Second week at #1 for Miley! At least Britney managed to scrape a chart hit higher than a buzz single from Katy Perry as it would have been embarrassing if it was the other way.
September 25, 201311 yr If Britney gets her video out soon, she may be able to grab another #1. WB is deffo gonna be a gradual hit (which is what their after, hence the album not being released till December 3rd).
September 25, 201311 yr ** 06 Britney Spears - Work B**ch! - 174,000 (NEW) Its sales and radio play are far too low for it to be #1
September 25, 201311 yr Lorde getting #1 on the chart that actually matters (or should actually matter, obviously it doesn't)
September 25, 201311 yr ** 06 Britney Spears - Work B**ch! - 174,000 (NEW) Its sales and radio play are far too low for it to be #1 Yeah. It has stabilized on itunes. Hopefully they release a video teaser sometime this week to get hype up for the video. It will be out within two weeks at the latest, by then hopefully it will have built up streaming, airplay should be nearing 50 million AI, and the video will get it back into the top 3 on itunes. If played correctly she will hit the top 5 on the Hot 100, at least top ten.
September 26, 201311 yr Armin getting a hit is surprising Animals even a hit in the US before the UK. Shocking. I dont know what the hell they're waiting for to release it in the UK tbh...
September 26, 201311 yr Miley staying at #1 aside this is such a good week for the hot 100. Avicii overtaking Robin to be highest male, plus new entries for Armin, Martin Garrix and Avicii at the bottom end of the chart  And AWOLNATION entering the top 20 on its 55th week in the chart. Unbelievable longevity.
September 26, 201311 yr Armin getting a hit is surprising Haven't you heard the song? It's similar to Titanium, Let Me Love You, Without You, Don't Wake Me Up, Clarity, etc, which were big chart hits in the US. Animals is more surprising though. It's rare for a song with such little vocals to be on the Hot 100 I think.
September 27, 201311 yr Loving the smattering of new dance hits from Armin, Avicii and Martin Garrix there. Ylvis and Daft Punk continuing to make the chart far more European mainland influenced than usual too!
September 27, 201311 yr How is this shaping up in comparison to her all-mighty hit Cali Gurls? Don't know in comparison to that particular song BUT it's the best total of first 6 weeks ever (during the digital era from 2004 to date)
September 27, 201311 yr The US Hot 100 is turning out to have far more musical variety in it than the UK singles chart these days, and a big hooray for current/former popchartfreak hits like Train, Martin Garrix, Gavin DeGraw & many others that the UK charts have criminally ignored. It took months before Radioactive got playlisted on national radio (number one in my chart first chart of 2013) - hugely popular, massive seller, great record. Radio One needs to review it's attitude towards less-cutting-edge popular hits... Hooray for the USA! (Though also hooray for the UK for stuff that the States has yet to chart like Naughty Boy!)
