Radio 1 are currently counting down the Top 30 as voted for by listeners of what is (allegedly) their 100 most played songs of the last five years.

I'll keep editing this post as they count them down. Not sure if I'll be around for all of it but if not then I'm sure someone else can step in and update this...

29 Foo Fighters - Rope

28 Swedish House Mafia - Don't You Worry Child

No idea what people will have voted for to be Top 10, the only obvious ones that spring to mind are Wake Me Up and Titanium...
I was planning to do until 20 and have someone take over if you can do it that way? As I will have to go soon.

I look forward to hearing what Michael has to say.

Oh and I can take over at any time ^_^

30 Macklemore & Ryan Lewis feat. Wanz - Thrift Shop

29 Some mumbly rock song about reasons climbing walls or something from Foo Fighters????

28 That awful song that beat Adele Dinet you Worry Child.

27 THe surprisingly low, Gotye - Somebody That I Used To Know

26 To the surprisingly high Rudimental and Nooooman Feel The Love

25 Foster The People - Pumped Up Kicks

24 Queen Adele - Rollin In The Deep

23 Urgh oh my god Bowling for Soup :puke: I dunno which one, some generic 2007-2009 era indie. Wait, Ain't a Love Song. I'll say ... Wish it had been goodbye from them.

22 Avicii Wake Me Up - Chris Brown should've left all songs regarding this topic to Avicii after his nonsensical rant about not waking up/ waking up/ coffee/ no coffee. Surprisingly high, it's only been oot a few months.

Cheers Griff, you can post the youtube links and I'll keep editing the first post, and Michael can keep adding his running commentary... lol at "Bowling For Soup"

EUGH, I'd rather Griff does the countdown ;)

21 - Florence and the Machine, Dog Days are Over!!! One of Florence's best and always reminds me of summer and dancing around parks with pixies ... before that dream was corrupted by exploding paint people for the American market :lame:

21 Florence & The Machine - Dog Days Are Over

20 - Daft Punk and Pharrell - Up All Neet to get Lucky. Like the legend of the phoenix ... One of the biggest songs of the year and much better than what came before it. Howeverrr, has BBC1 started turning into the new Capital? All these recent songs are in its top 30 of its most played! Song's pretty borin now to be fair. And well sick of Pharrell.

19 - Coldplay's most radio-friendly song, Paradise, along with that utterly boring Viva la Vida. Not much to say except this was from the era when one week they said they'd never appear on X Factor ... till their album sales showed a massive slump and then they were the star act :P Video was pretentious :poop: though

18 - I canet rememebr, it's one of those generic rappers. Pofessor Green?? Rich Boy. Attempt at being trendy but I think it's a pile.

20 Daft Punk feat Pharrell Williams - Get Lucky

19 Coldplay - Paradise

18 Plan B - ill Manors

Surprised that ill Manors is so high!

Surprised that ill Manors is so high!

Yeah, that's probably the most surprising one in the list so far. Also surprised that Wake Me Up is so low, I was convinced that would be Top 10.

17 - OMG again I have no idea what this is, sounds like big headed Kanye West's ego takin over mind. Sounds pretty terrible anyway. Wait is this what N in Parris is?? THIS was critically acclaimed?? THIS! Just more nonsensical Kanye ego-boosting.

16 Lily Allen - The Fear. This song has actually improved with time, mainly the backing music like, as her lyrics are about as mature as One Direction's.

17 Jay-Z & Kanye West - Ni**as In Paris

Surprisingly high, it's only been oot a few months.

I think being recent would help songs if anything, since they're currently on people's minds, etc.

I don't think this particular song got much critical acclaim did it? It's just an amazing club tune and really catchy.
