+ we have confirmed for the new contest B-) but are legally not allowed to post a teaser because it would give away which song it is lol. But we can confirm it is one of the potentials we posted further up the page. xx

(or indeed on the last page, as this post has gone onto a new one)

Have already commented in here regarding the position of Aron Can but WD on a decent spinoff showing as well! So close to that top 20 x Really liked your entry anyway, a very interesting take on 'Take Me To Church' *.*

Fabulous write-up as always! Slay at the impakt of my bizarre change in fortunes in the spinoff making it in  Poland hu x

Persephonian News Bulletin ~ 08/08/2016

TWRR selected for BJSC LXXXVII

A new contest is underway so we can now announce Persephonia's latest BJSC entry. Lucky entry number 66 is 'Water Frozen' by Paris indie/electronic duo TWRR. The Persephonian BJSC Committee had in fact been leaning towards entering this track and likely would have done so whether or not they released their list of potential entries, however the positive reaction from foreign diplomats reaffirmed their decision to go ahead with the entry.

The song is the latest release by the duo formerly known as Total Warr, being put out alongside its beautifully wintery video last month (the inappropriateness of the timing of its release is not lost on them) as the second(?) single from their upcoming debut album 'At Least We Had Fun'.

We hope that this beautiful track can be a good discovery for some more people beyond those who have already given it some lovely feedback in this very thread already~ and as with many of our entries we hope that people can at least appreciate the visuals even if not the song. Watch the video. And wait for t chorus before judging xx The instrumental builds throughout to a pretty intense and wonderful finale  (we thought it was quite reminiscent of Space Above's 'This Is It').

'Water Frozen' follows BJSC LXIII entry 'Oedo 606' by Surkin as our second entry by a primarily French artist (France has also been represented in Persephonia entries by Douster as the secondary artist on Savage Skulls' 'Bad Gal' (feat. Robyn), and as an adoptive home nation by Lebanese born Bachar Mar-Khalifé who we sent three contests ago with 'Mirror Moon').

It has been drawn in position 22 in semi-final 1 in Lambrini City, Pupok (as was eventually revealed following technical difficulties :eyes: x). Meanwhile semi-final 2 is being handled by Enthen, Yehesi.

I am SO glad you decided to go with 'Water Frozen' You had a very strong set of potentials on the whole but this one just edged the others. I adore songs that just build and build into something special and this does exactly that! Sending my love from semi 2 *.*

Persephonian News Bulletin ~ 16/08/2016

Three qualifiers in a row again

Persephonia's qualification streak has recovered to 3 again as TWRR's 'Water Frozen' has advanced to the final of BJSC LXXXVII in Lambrini City, Pupok, becoming our 48th finalist and 37th semi-final qualifier. It has been drawn as song 30 out of 42 in the final.

Sad news for two of the songs Persephonia awarded points in semi-final 1: our eight pointer from Terra Avium, 'Le Port Du Masque Est De Rigueur' by Essaie Pas, somehow fell a fair bit short (:'() and our two pointer 'Bigger Than Prince' (Hot Since 82 Remix) by Green Velvet representing Ethanola also just missed the mark, becoming Ethanola's first DNQ of the year. Persephonian voters' third favourite song from semi-final 2 also DNQed (Trifoski's Anna Meredith with 'Nautilus'), as did the songs they ranked 5th (Bubblelands' debut entry 'ORION' by Ta-Ha featuring ISSUE, which received a deduction following a voting miscommunication~ but was nowhere near qualifying anyway) and 9th (Suedeonia's The Very Best with 'Makes A King' (feat. Jutty Taylor)) in their non-binding semi-final 2 ranking.

Taahino secured a 10th qualifier in a row to now lead the list of longest qualification streaks alone, as #00274E suffered a rare DNQ (only their third ever) after they jointly led the list with Taahino for just one month. Former long-time holders of the longest qualification streak (and holders of the longest qualification streak ever at 42) FSR Rontvia are back up to 2nd in the list with 9 in a row.

Congrats on qualifying! The travesty of losing Terra Avium is made up for the fact that at least the likes of you and a few other faves made it through the semi *.*

Jadaphonia back in the final together :cheer:
