They work the exact same way as the singles do.

Yes! New releases are issued on a Monday though.

So they won't climb properly uuntil tomorrow then?
A solid pop album on first listen, surprised at the hate for Somebody Else's Life, it was one of the catchier tracks for me. They have a lot to live up to quality wise with every album of theirs other than Wordshaker imo and this sounds a little generic in places but still strong.
Albums get released on a Monday for no reason other than the CD albums for new releases go on sale on Mondays and always have done. Digital singles used to be the same and CD singles are the same. Due to Sundays being Sundays.

Small bit of shameless plugarooney-ing here...

Tomorrow night on my music blog Brits Go Pop (@BritsGoPop on Twitter) I will be doing a live Tweetalong listen of the album at 8pm on Twitter - if you want to get involved make sure you have a copy of the album to hand, and Tweet along with your thoughts on each track to @BritsGoPop with the hashtag #BritsGoSats. Some of the best Tweets will be used in my review of the album later this week...hope you can make it :)

when did everyone's copy from the store get dispatched? mine was 10pm thursday night, surely that's a late time to dispatch something?
Mine was dispatched Friday at 4:30pm, or at least that's when I got the email to say it had been dispatched.
Would someone be able to PM me a link for the album please? Can't find it anywhere and desperate for an MP3 of Not Giving Up. Thank you :)
The fact that it's #25 on amazon (still a pre order) means it must do decently
I'm LIVING for Not Giving Up *.*

Obviously, it's their best song ever.

YOU'RE UNDER MY SKIIIINNN

Plus that Rochessa chorus followed by the Mochelle chorus is just bliss. :yahoo:

I really hope this does well.

I really want it to do AT LEAST 20k and I hope it charts top 5 officially.

What About Us and Disco Love have been pretty big by The Sats standards so fingers crossed this reflects in the album sales ;)

Chasing Lights and Headlines debuted on the back of a successful single. Wordshaker peaked high but plummeted because the single plummeted. On Your Radar bombed because the single flopped.

If we're going to measure the album success based on Disco Love then I'd say (if it's sold over 50K) we're looking at a solid top ten. Easily. Maybe #6 or #7. If it sticks around or not will depend if Disco Love gets airplay.

Top 10 is definitely achievable in my opinion. I'm just worried about the sales.
What About Us, Disco Love and Not Giving Up are the only decent songs here. Everything else is average, generic or just terrible.

I do like Gentleman except the last minute. Lease My Love is alright but very repetitive (Rochelle's belting should only have been used in the last chorus) and You Don't Have The Right is pretty decent as a ballad but that's it.

I think I'm just going to cherry pick those songs and maybe Problem With Love.

To be honest the sales don't really matter as of right now; the stability of the album in the chart is what is important because once the real sales of Q4 hit in a stable album can achieve relatively good sales to carry it through Xmas.
