October 16, 201311 yr I'm sick of people moaning about release times. They released Disco Love last week because it was pre-planned the only other new release at the time was Conor Maynard as Eminem was due two weeks beforehand. No one could of guessed that James Blunt would have such a hit, or One Republic to blow up and then perform on Norton. Not to mention Miley's release date was the week before then it got pushed back with the album release. The management did well this time! They can't do signings if HMV say no! Perhaps they planned a signing and HMV decided against or they simply didn't have time to do a signing when they are most likely practicing R1 or talking about tours etc... Just because The Sats are not on TV doesn't mean they are not busy!!!! (Apologies for this post, I did it on my phone in a hurry so probably tonnes of mistakes)
October 16, 201311 yr i suppose it can go either way if you release it this time of year though, sales are low so its easier to get a higher charting for an album but then it takes longer to sell more copies. don't get me wrong i'm happy they have released the album now rather than november/december but i think they should look at Headlines! as a good example of sales/promo. 24/7 certainly helped album sales and i think CTS would have if the album was released around that time plus there are loads of festivals in the summer they usually perform at which has loads of people attending so that would have helped also. But then The Sats always remind me of autumn cause that's when their albums are released :P
October 16, 201311 yr managed to persuade my best friend to play the album in her car when we go out this afternoon! wish me luck in getting her to like it as she hates them (except Wildfire) i said that's on the album so should be ok :P
October 16, 201311 yr Good luck. I have requested forth 1, Edinburgh, to play Disco love, for 2 o clock take over show. Team sats please join and request them to play. https://www.facebook.com/home.php?__user=54..._user=540953533
October 16, 201311 yr I think Arctic Monkeys and Miley could overtake them, so #8 at the lowest by Sunday?
October 16, 201311 yr Who knows? On Your Radar was #15 in the midweeks and ended up at #23. Wordshaker was #5 and ended up at #9.
October 16, 201311 yr Having started to listen to the album, Rent My Love isn't as bad as CTS made it out to be. However the end of it is a clusterf*** of madness.
October 16, 201311 yr Who knows? On Your Radar was #15 in the midweeks and ended up at #23. Wordshaker was #5 and ended up at #9. Wordshaker didn't make ANY affect on iTunes or amazon and OYR never did well in any physical store anywyas. HMV was the biggest CD store at the time and it only got to #13 and fell to #30 even when they had that special cover thing that was going on. but The sats have done alright sales wise with physical sales which are a big contributor to total sales Edited October 16, 201311 yr by vivek

October 16, 201311 yr Why the hype for 'Leave A Light On', guys? One of the worst tracks on there, to my ears. Lyrically it has such a dull & uninspiring subject matter. Girls will be foolish not to go with 'Not Giving Up' as the next single. If they really insist on going with a slower song, then 'Lease My Love' >>> 'Leave A Light On'.

Unfortunately it's very likely lease my love won't be a single. It's wasn't cherry picked very high (#890) and it's not something very radio friendly. I can't imagine it being played :( as much as I love it. Leave a light on is more generic Edited October 16, 201311 yr by vivek

October 16, 201311 yr They would be nuts not to go for Not Giving Up but knowing their team it will be a ridiculous choice as per!!
