On Chasing Lights, there's a bunch of awful cheap demo tracks. Why Me Why Now, Vulnerable, Fall, Keep Her. Lies is quite borderline!

I will admit the lyrics were MUCH better in Chasing Lights, so were the harmonies, but the production and melodies are overrated to death. It's basic work. They had the singles decided right from the beginning, then it was just a question of filling the rest of the album. Fair enough, it did happen with Wordshaker too.

Your argument on Chasing Lights is invalid. You say Headlines! is their worst album, yet it's their second best selling album. It doesn't work. It would also mean On Your Radar is an awful shitty album because it sold next to nothing, and even worse for Living For The Weekend. It just doesn't work like that. Chasing Lights was a success because instead of releasing the fillers, they released the good songs (If This Is Love, Up, Issues, Work and they did think about releasing Set Me Off once) and had constant promo. Not to forget they were literally everywhere and building a huge and fresh fanbase.

I really loved 'Chasing Lights' at the time. Sure, it's dated now, but I still appreciate it. Definitely their second best album for me, after 'On Your Radar'.

'Fall' is beautiful. I personally love 'Why Me, Why Now' - very pleasant. 'Keep Her' holds fantastic memories for me too, from when I went to see them regularly in 2008. The ribbons dance routine - classic. :P

Tbh the only track from 'Chasing Lights' which didn't appeal to me was 'Vulnerable'.

It's amazing

It's amazing

Right Said , can listen to it anytime without getting bored. Almost all chasing lights songs are pleasant to hear and can be listened to numerous times, without getting bored. Its an album for easy listening !

#60? In such a poor sales climate they should still be top 40! Let's just hope it climbs back up a bit by the end of the week!
I love Chasing Lights, is their best album, but OYR and LFTW are awful, no personality, mediocre generic dance and no identity

It's one if my faves on the Album. It really is just such a nice song :)

I'll never understand all the Vulnerable hate! No it's not their best but it's not the worst song on the album. Why Me, Why Now is truly horrendous. Keep Her, Lies, and Set Me Off are the only tracks I bothered to download from Chasing Lights. Work was good as well.
Missing You is one of their shittiest single so I don't even know wat you're talking about. Puppet is more than a 10/10.

On the other hand, Chasing Lights is half amazing songs and half fillers. The production is cheap and flat and half of these tracks and that's plausible considering they didn't have much money back then. It probably all went into videos and promo instead of the recording.

you just described radar and weekend

I don't think there's one song on Chasing Lights that I dislike, although I find the chorus of Why Me, Why Now a tad tedious at points. This may sound odd but I've always thought of On Your Radar as a follow up to Chasing Lights in the sense there a few sister tracks like Up/Notorious and Vulnerable/Do What You Want With Me; there's just a lack of originality in a lot of the material on On Your Radar. Faster was such a good example of progression for me; it just had that dance vibe, coupled in with signature Saturdays (I guess thats because I tend to associate Frankie's voice more with the band).

This album just has too many flaws; Not Giving Up is a great follow up to Faster imo, it would've been nice if the album had more of this.

#60 isn't at all shocking TBH. Poor sales doesn't mean they should be selling better, it just means that *everyone* is affected so chart positions remain the same, they're just selling less than they would be otherwise.
No,the update is next week. It's a bit of a stupid system but I doubt it did it anyways. The new week is this week, but the chart is shown the week after I think

It most likely won't be, but 1,000 copies approx. it would've sold
Funnily enough, it's doing very similar to hotel Cabana (naughty boy) which slipped after it's second week
The worst for the album is it hasn't much left to hold it up. The Saturdays are not an act that will stand out in the Chritsmas rush of releases and sales so they will get lost, that said they will muster up sales of around what they will achieve this week but wont be showing on the actual charts. That a side, 4 singles done and dusted doesn't leave much in the way for promo unless they are going with a 6 single release strategy. Initially i did think the album might manage overall sales of 100,000 but now i think it is likely to struggle to sell 50,000.
