December 17, 201311 yr aka their only remote chance of a hit... Isn't the fact it did reasonably well on iTunes when the album was released (a million miles ahead of the others) any sort of indication? Doesn't mean it would do well as a single though.
December 17, 201311 yr Doesn't mean it would do well as a single though. Yes it does... (or maybe not well, but perhaps reasonably well compared to everything else) Edited December 17, 201311 yr by Silver Rocket
December 17, 201311 yr Doesn't mean it would do well as a single though. It shows that it's a clear fan favourite if it was cherry-picked the most.
December 17, 201311 yr It shows that it's a clear fan favourite if it was cherry-picked the most. and most likely it would go on to be one of the most popular Saturdays tracks. look how well received all fired up was and then look how well received not giving up is. It would do better :)
December 18, 201311 yr I think people have way too much expectation. Not Giving Up, if released, will do MAX 190k. But Jesus, that's better than 115k, 56k, 80k and 54k which was the sales of their latest output bar What About Us.
December 18, 201311 yr I think people have way too much expectation. Not Giving Up, if released, will do MAX 190k. But Jesus, that's better than 115k, 56k, 80k and 54k which was the sales of their latest output bar What About Us. Completely agree with what you said. It'll do *well* for them, but it won't be as big a smash as everyone's anticipating, and I doubt it'll go down as a song that defines their career (if it's even released).
December 18, 201311 yr Babes are you serious? OMG. Let the light fade away... I have a feeling that they will make a single version - slightly updated, maybe with some adlibs like on CTS Edited December 18, 201311 yr by NotGivingUp
December 18, 201311 yr Yep, the only reason I can think of for them to do that would be to make it a single and... A) Have it chart higher - not slowly chart like with Work, Ego and Higher. B) Help the album sell for fans of the song.
December 18, 201311 yr Hmmmm.... Not Giving Up is now 'Album Only'. I wonder why... ;) How on earth did you notice this? Haha. This is certainly very interesting, and I agree with the points above as to why it's been changed. They were the reasons that came to my head also. It looks like they would rather have a higher chart position than more sales if they are going to be doing it this way. Thinking too much into this, but does anyone think it could do with an edit before it's released? I really don't like the middle 8 and think it flows better without it. December 18, 201311 yr ^i was seeing if the album was still 5.00 and noticed! I assume we'll be getting an announcement very soon and they'll be sending the song to radio stations in January?
December 18, 201311 yr Smart decision, their label have been great from disco love onwords and it should encourage extra sales for the album!
December 18, 201311 yr I'm so glad Frankie is back from maternity and doesn't take any of this Leave A Light On rubbish.
December 18, 201311 yr When Frankie's not around the band flop! SIMPLE. She knows what the public wants. Rochelle: I think we should release ' Leave A Light On ' Una: YES. Mollie: " HIT MY BABY ONE MORE TIME" Frankie: " Guys, you've flopped without me, My Heart Takes Over was also a flop. Not Giving Up. I want it, the fans want it. I'll have another baby if you don't release it as a single " Rochelle & UNA: THINK OF THE FAST ROUTINE. Quen Frankie.

Although, let's be clear, I do also think it will do better than Leave A Light On, so I don't think you totally agree with me, ha! :P It's just that they won't have the radio support, the TV support or enough promo to make it a big hit in my opinion. But as I said, 190k is better than 56k, so I'm good with that.
