October 22, 201311 yr This will freefall into oblivion and they'll do nothing to help. Then they will try to salvage it in January, just watch.

October 23, 201311 yr LOL if you believe ' Living For The Weekend ' will pass 5,000 sales this week. Regardless of what anybody says.... 10-34 in these sales climate is absolutely awful. They still wont have surpassed 'Wordshakers' opening sales come Sunday.
October 23, 201311 yr obviously i'd be thrilled if they sold bucket loads of albums but tbh i'm just happy with getting albums from my favorite band! as long as that keeps happening then i'll be a happy little gay man! :P
October 23, 201311 yr Well it was never gonna stick around for ages and be a huge seller anyway TBF. It did well to go top 10.
October 23, 201311 yr What were people expecting with this album? They bombed with two of their albums before so we all know they're clearly not album sellers, plus album sales are dreadful at the moment and most artists plummet with their albums in the second week. YES it's bad but it's not unexpected. Chasing Lights and Headlines were stable because Up was constantly promoted and then the second they were done with it, they had Issues out there. Headlines had a #1 airplay hit and Higher was announced as the next single immediately (it even went top 40 on iTunes). What did this album have? A single that looks like it's going to spend four weeks in the top 40 at the most, no radio support, no after release promotion and no next single announced. This was always going to happen. They need to announce a new single fast, get some signings done for the album, get the video out for the next single and promote anywhere and on anything until the album has shifted some more units. They can't afford to give up on this album again but unfortunately they said to Fearne yesterday they were going to recharge their batteries and have a break soon so...
October 23, 201311 yr 'Wildfire' has hit me even harder than before *.* absolutely massive. (a bit more positivity... as you were )
October 23, 201311 yr 'Wildfire' has hit me even harder than before *.* absolutely massive. (a bit more positivity... as you were ) Much like HRH Kylie of Minogue, their b-side's often are better than the single and most of the album, at least Wildfire made it to the album  Edited October 23, 201311 yr by Regina
October 23, 201311 yr Oh I'm sorry I thought it would gt 5k this week! And haha I hate it when they do a wells promotion and need a two month break to 'relax' :P
October 23, 201311 yr We have the album now so I'm happy. Yup :) And considering the increase rate of youtube subscriptions and facebook followers....they have widened their appeal across.
October 23, 201311 yr 34 for today, probably out of the top 50 by sunday. Edited October 23, 201311 yr by Martyn
October 23, 201311 yr This wasn't stocked anywhere in Asda earlier. They still had Jason Derulo's first album, Rihanna's LOUD and Talk That Talk albums, all of Olly Murs' albums and even Eliza Doolittle's new album yet this was nowhere. It wasn't sold out, there was no tags or boards for it. :( (but I have an interview for HMV next week and if I get the job, I'll be promoting the girls like my life depends on it )
October 23, 201311 yr 34 for today, probably out of the top 50 by sunday. Unlikely. It was still #34 in yesterday's update so it will most likely stay top 40.

Regardless of what anybody says.... 10-34 in these sales climate is absolutely awful. They still wont have surpassed 'Wordshakers' opening sales come Sunday. In 2013, album sales are not the be all and end all. 10-34 is poor, but their drops from Wordshaker and On Your Radar were far worse in a stronger sales climate. The fact that it's stable in this weeks midweeks is a positive thing. The fact they're still in the Top 40 is a good thing. It is no good comparing any sales nowadays to previous release beacuse albums just do not sell as well they used to. If people want to measure an artists 'place' in the industry, take a look at their singles or their ability to pull the punters in for live gigs. Albums are a useless way of determining an artists palce in the industry these days. If the label didn't give two f**ks about this album, they wouldn't have done half the promotion they did for Disco Love. I swear people think they just can just magic up performances on every single TV show that's going. Cosidering 'Gentlemen' put them in a bit of an awkward place, they picked it back up with Disco Love.. and because of that Living For The Weekend got them another Top 10 album. Risks don't always pay off, and in this case Gentlemen didn't, but they recovered okay from it. Had that have never happened I believe they could be in a better position right now. What they need to do next is, first of all determine when Frankie is returning from maternaty (meanwhile decide on what the next single is going to be). Shoot the video ASAP. It doesn't matter if the release is going to be as far away as January as it'll start circulating as soon as the video is out there. They're not going to film a video with a member missing, and they sure as hell wont re-arrange a track 'officialy' because they're a member short. I'm not ranting at anyone in particular. This is just a general view.

My worry is that they will wait until Frankie is back (December?) before they even shoot the video, which means we'll have from now until December with absolutely nothing promoting the album. There must be a reason why they aren't doing signings because they'd at least guarantee 1,500 sales (500 over three days) which is a huge difference in this awful sales climate. Rizzle Kicks have already got the video for their second single out there and they only released 'Lost Generation' a few weeks before 'Disco Love'. And on a non sales/chart point of view, I'm in love with Frankie's lines on this album. her middle 8 on Not Giving Up is awesome and her "all the hell you put me through, all the tears cried over you, you can't, keep coming back" in You Don't Have The Right are both amazing.
