October 23, 201311 yr I wonder if Taylor will be performing 'Sweeter Than Fiction' as opposed to 'The Last Time'? Very unlikely considering Sweeter Than Fiction is just a soundtrack song and The Last Time is her proper new single.
October 23, 201311 yr I think the fact that the release date for 'The Last Time' was announced as November 4th several weeks ago makes me think that this X Factor performance for this has been planned for a long time. I hope so anyway!
October 23, 201311 yr So if all the guest slots are full before Nov 4th when his album comes out, when does James Arthur perform then?
October 23, 201311 yr @ladygaga ...I'll be debuting a new song in every territory I travel to over the next 3 weeks! An exclusive for each country! Any guesses for Berlin? So we could be getting a completely new song altogether on Sunday (perhaps still 'Venus' as planned?)
October 23, 201311 yr @ladygaga So we could be getting a completely new song altogether on Sunday (perhaps still 'Venus' as planned?) Wouldn't be too surprising - all guest so far seem to be promoting anything but their current single! :P
October 23, 201311 yr Yeah, I would associate disco mainly with the 70s - there were a lot of disco-influenced hits in the 90s but that's was a consciously retro thing to do then. Of course they could do a Nile Rodgers-themed edition. But even if they did they'd probably make the dullest possible choices ('Frankie'?) and get this year's comedy contestant to do 'Kissing With Confidence'.

October 24, 201311 yr Very unlikely considering Sweeter Than Fiction is just a soundtrack song and The Last Time is her proper new single. But Sweeter than Fiction is the theme song of a Simon Cowell movie and we all know he loves his cross-promotion. I would be very surprised if she didn't end up singing Sweeter than Fiction tbh. Regardless, she has The Last Time gaining airplay right now and it's the current single from her album, I don't see why she'd choose to promote a soundtrack single over this. I'm sure she'll sing The Last Time.

This year's 'comedy' act (Shelley) has already left :P *comedy in quotation marks because she wasn't funny at all imo which is probably why she left Edited October 24, 201311 yr by Thermometer

October 25, 201311 yr The artist doesn't usually get to choose. Robin and Katy were given slots last week on the condition they did their massive hit singles. Nah, I'm pretty sure Katy Perry chose to sing "Roar". Which was the most logical choice anyway, giving that it was still getting airplay and still top 10. No reason to push out the new single so early. Besides, her first big "Unconditional" TV performance will be on the Europe Music Awards and that was already announced weeks prior to her performance. Regardless, she has The Last Time gaining airplay right now and it's the current single from her album, I don't see why she'd choose to promote a soundtrack single over this. I'm sure she'll sing The Last Time. I doubt it but we'll see. Anyway, there's only 18 spots for musical guests on the X Factor, not including the finale. So there's only 11 guest spots left and most of them are really easy to guess: James Arthur; One Direction; Robbie Williams; Celine Dion; Miley Cyrus; Olly Murs; Mariah Carey; Gary Barlow; Cher Lloyd and JLS. Very predictable. So there's only one guest spot left (tabloids were saying Gloria Estefan?) and the finale guests. Edited October 25, 201311 yr by André
October 25, 201311 yr It's apparently been confirmed on This Morning that Gaga will be performing 'Do What U Want'. PLEASE let it be the case. Edit: OH now the rumour is that she's doing 2 songs :o
October 25, 201311 yr Executive Producer of X Factor on Twitter: @marksidaway Just got off a call with @ladygaga creative team. The performance is gonna be immense. 2 songs, 2 looks, 2 talkabout moments #xfactor I assume Do What U Want and Venus
October 25, 201311 yr No one cares about Gaga's "immense" performances at this point, she should try something more stripped down and focused on one song.....
October 25, 201311 yr YES can't wait. I'll be shocked if she mimed :o I don't think I've ever seen her do a mimed performance before...
