I think it was the label who decided that and I think it was to get the video more play? As a shorter video means it can be played a lot more/has more flexiblity in when it can be played on TV channels.

 

Whatever the reason, it was a somewhat smart choice as it went to #1 in TV play IIRC back in 2013 and climbed well last year too. Hopefully it'll do really well this year too. :D

It is a smart move to shorten it to increase airplay but I just wish they would have used some of the footage of her actually singing along to the song in the video especially for the shots of her sat looking out the window, I love those shots. They even used part of that for the album's advert if I recall :)

One More Sleep is confirmed as track #18 on the 2015 re-release of NOW Christmas which is good news! :D

Fantastic news! :cheer: Album only would be awful though. As long as it's available to cherrypick, the song should perform better this year.

Another one yay! Don't see why Kelly is once again ahead of Leona in the tracklisting though considering Leona's done better the last couple of years.

Not in the UK though, which these albums are catering too (particularly the Now! compilation). "One More Sleep" has done a lot better in the UK and Leona's Christmas album as well.

I also find it odd that Leona is slow low down/ behind Kelly on tech tracklistings, too. Mariah is hardly relevant anymore in terms of current musical success, neither are The Pogues. But Leona has probably had the most successful original Christmas song for 5 - 10 years, so I thought that they'd want to capitalise that. But it is undeniable that Kelly has had a somewhat successful year - Heartbeat song was a huge radio hit here this year.

Give it a rest. These are UK compilation albums and 'One More Sleep' did far better than 'Underneath the Tree' in the UK - no question about it. That's why it'd be more logical to place OMS higher than UTT on the tracklist regardless of whether an artist is more relevant than another at the moment. That said, Kelly's Christmas song is pretty good so I don't mind it being higher. It is hardly an insult.
