I'm the same, I wouldn't have done it either. At least if they would have considered playing it then, it at leasts gives us hope they will play it a few times this year anyway.

I'm sure they'll play it. Most likely Scott Mills tbh, I remember him being supporting of both OMS and Kelly Clarkson's song last year.

I've done a bit of math and worked out that on Spotify her streams for OMS are going up at a rate of 338 Stream-sales per day, as of today (seems to be increasing significantly by the day). But that is without discounting international streams / streams from people who have played it more than 10 times a day. So if you take away 40% of that (I have no idea how many are streams would be from UK?) it still leaves you with 1414 steaming sales a week from now (and that's not including Deezer etc), which should easily get her in the Spotify top 200.

 

Last week it would have been around 500-700 sales for the week, which would have been a bit too little for it to chart on spotify.

 

We're allowed 10 streams a day so try it stream when you can rather than listening on iTunes, that's what I've been trying to do.

One of the themes on the X factor this weekend is 'countdown to Christmas' Surely OMS fits perfectly for one of them to sing? Especially since Syco still owns the song don't they? Or did the rights get signed over to Island?

^Would be a great choice and give the song a nice boost. Fingers crossed it gets used in some way. If someone performed it I think it would give the song a big enough boost to enter the top 100 on Sunday's chart imo.

Ben could do a rock version of it or Lauren could do the original I think. Andrea would murder it in my opinion.

I think Lauren or Fleur doing the original version would be best.

None of them are doing it. Hopefully it gets featured in a VT or something. Maybe a group performance?

It's #70 & #217 on amazon MP3 (with two other versions in the album charts starting to rise), so is comfortably top 100 there! If it keeps this up, it could go top 100 in Sunday's chart! :D

Jay just told me that it's #137 in today's mids. I don't see top 100 being a possibility as it's climbing very slowly. It still isn't in the Spotify top 200. 24% of its accumulative sales of 1766 are from streaming though. Thanks Jay! If you see this :wub:

Aw yay thanks Jay for this info. :wub: I don't think top 100 will be a possibility now either - unless it somehow gets a big boost from being used on a TV show/X-factor somehow. Perhaps it can at least manage to climb another few places or so this sunday then climb into the top 100 next week (or maybe top 75). ^_^
