GAH!! They should have performed Disco Love!!

I agree, their vocals would have sounded better and the 59p price would have gotten them quite high I think.

So they just performed in front of like 11 million people and about 10 people bought the album on iTunes after it.
I think we may see more of an increase tomorrow. #350 UK and #228 Ireland now.

' What About Us ' not even going top #200

Waste of a promotion slot, although it was rather obvious they wouldn't have got much downloads due to the Strictly audience.

Not really getting the "waste of a promotion slot" comments. What should they have performed? There's no new single scheduled, and artists don't tend to perform album tracks on such high profile shows. The girls performing their biggest & most successful hit seems like the most sensible choice to me. Not to mention that it was a rather last minute booking, and Frankie has only just returned from maternity leave, so it was probably the easiest song to go for as well!

Strictly doesn't seem to be quite the right audience for pop groups. JLS performed on it in 2012 and this year, and they didn't do too well out of it either time. I remember after Girls Aloud performed 'Something New' on Strictly that their popularity figure on iTunes barely increased i.e. the slot had little effect.

I think the main problem with Strictly is they never mention an artist's product. Whereas Dermot always says "the new single/album is out when?" or "when will you be on tour?", Claudia merely states what an artist is performing, and that's it. That's not at all helpful when it comes to trying to push an album. I think it may have something to do with the BBC not being allowed to advertise.

To be fair, 'What About Us' has gone up around 1000 places so far, and I'm all for that single getting a boost, if nothing else. At least it'll contribute towards them getting closer to the seemingly elusive Gold certification!

I think the album would more likely improve in CDs than on iTunes.

Jay is my fave. I think he likes Missing You (and guys, obv), but I love him nevertheless. Let's get in a foursome with Joseph and breakaway!

(Yup, okay I shall leave now, erm.)

#Jaysephcaneaway? :kink:

This is all rather disturbing.

Hurricane will be removed from The Satrudays' forum with any more of this behaviour.

Don't be jealous, you can join us and we will stan for Frankie.

As she puts it herself, it takes a lot of talent to whisper over other people's vocals!

It's always appropriate to stan for the best member of The Saturdays' (Frankie)
