Lately I've been enjoying this wonderful song from Jackie Thomas who won New Zealand X Factor in July...

...and got to thinking about all the winners' songs that have come from every corner of the world in the past decade or so. There's so much potential for discussion here! Some songs are among the worst ever recorded, but let's focus on the ones that you love for months, even years after the show ends!

I don't keep a list of all the best ones (probably should though!) but here's a few that come to mind, for starters:

Kelly Clarkson "A Moment Like This" American Idol 2002

Fantasia "I Believe" American Idol 2004

David Cook "The Time Of My Life" American Idol 2008

Phillip Phillips "Home" American Idol 2012

Stan Walker "Black Box" Australian Idol 2009

Erik Gronwall "Higher" Idol (Sweden) 2009

Ida "I Can Be" Danish X Factor 2012

Javier Colon "Stitch By Stitch" The Voice (US) 2011

Don't forget the potential winning singles from 2nd or 3rd-place contestants! On that note I must include Angie Miller from this year's American Idol--her song "You Set Me Free" was seemingly destined for BIG things, truly astonishing

Samantha Jade 'What You've Done To Me' is EASILY the best "Winners Single" I have ever had the fortunes of hearing *.* It really would be a massive hit if pushed over here (extremely unlikely now though!). Pop perfection!

Also really enjoy Phillip Phillips 'Home'! (As well as Alexandra Burke 'Hallelujah' and Little Mix 'Cannonball'. (I love their renditions!))

Oh, this year's Aussie X Factor final happened last night. What a coincidence, I didn't know

Also how did I forget Carrie Underwood!? Inside Your Heaven is definitely worthy of this thread :heart-old:

Totally agree with Inside Your Heaven by Carrie Underwood, absolutely gorgeous! And on the same note as Angie Miller (), there's also All Cried Out from 2nd placed Kree Harrison which was a brilliant song too.

My favourite, if we're also including UK ones, has to be Sound of the Underground by Girls Aloud though, excellent pop song
