Why is this so high when "Loved Me Back To Life" has already start to fade..I'm not complain though..My favourite song and videoclip from that year (2002)..

I wouldn't rule out Mcfly being #1 this week, no doubt they will have strong physical sales, especially with 3 different copies of it. If that can add 7-8k extra then they might do it.

I hope this can go top 40 for him, although it's probably his 2nd weakest single to date (ahead of 'Heart On My Sleeve'). I really don't understand why he's released another song from the standard edition of his album when he has a re-release coming up.

 

'Oh My Goodness' is by far his worst.

Get in there Calvin! :cheer: Hopefully it goes to #1 over the McFly song which I haven't even heard yet but not expecting something amazing.

Breach are the only good song in the Top 10, let's hope it blasts its way to #1 (somehow).

I lived breach's last song but not a fan of this one.

It still amazes me that 'Jack' didn't do very well in the end, before its release I thought it was one of the most certain top 3 hits this year (although I am quite glad it didn't).

 

This is better, but I didn't expect it to do much before it shot up the other day on pre-orders. Weird.

Just listened to the Calvin Harris song, what is it with every commercial dance song having a "washing machine spin-cycle" break-down about 1 minute in. Very predictable and boring. *Yawn*

lol. There haven't actually been that many of those this year tbh (well, there have been but most under-performed like Live It Up by Jennifer Lopez). In 2011 and 2012 there were more of them.

 

I agree that the song is quite boring though. Breach's song is better. Even McFly's song is probably better.

Calvin can be a bit hit and miss, but I think he's hit with 'Under Control'. It's excellent.

Is it me, Under Control would have been a better Hurts track without the added bits.

"Under control" isn't a bad song but it is the most generic Calvin Harris song he could have done.

But it wouldn't have been nearly as big. Take out Calvin's name, and it would have gone top 15 (low top 10 at best).

Maybe I'm being a bit harsh, but I did used to love Calvin: his singing on tracks, his mixing electronic sounds with disco. "Acceptable In The 80s" was and still is a really great track. I think his nadir was the embarrassment that was "Drinking From The Bottle" where he tried to imitate SHM.

Really glad to see Calvin at number 1, I'm not holding my breath just yet though, I sense it will be very front-loaded like Animals/Look Right Through and I don't know if it has enough pre-orders to keep it afloat for the week, I'll wait and see.

Only reason they are that high is thanks to the 60 other versions clogging up the iTunes top 100...this will probably be top 3 on the chart update but hopefully drop during the week

Can't believe Calvin is actually number one!! Fingers crossed he can stay there all week though I have a horrible feeling something bad could happen from tomorrow :rolleyes:

 

And Breach top 10, this has made my year such a tune and well deserved success!!

 

Hope Afrojack can climb a bit higher over the next few days, I'd say its more generic than Under Control and a bit of an Avicii copy but any dance tracks doing well gets my backing!!

Under Control is a f***ing fantastic song. I love the production between the two drops as well.
