It's strange that Keane have managed to outsell The Killers in week 2. Perhaps Keane's best of will be a big Christmas gift seller.
Ed Sheeran with "+" is out of the Top 100 Albums for the first time after 114 weeks..Well done, Ed..

Thing is, a vast number of people own the first three killers albums (so 3/4 of this one), all million+ sellers, the same can't be said for Keanes albums past their first, so their collection could sell better, because they've been less successful... If that makes sense.

Secondly I noted the keane release has a b-sides disc on the deluxe, a big incentive for their fanbase to buy it, Killers one has no equivelant (as they've had a b-sides standalone album), so little incentive for the fanbase to buy. Maybe it'll be a seller overtime.

Thirdly the john Lewis advert I'm sure is doing keane wonders.

Surprised that Boyzone managed to keep a top 40 position, still scoring (minor) hits 20 years on! Wow at Celine's album chart staying power there too, good for her :o Pleasing #1 from Lily, although I'd have been quite happy to see any of the top six or so there, a very strong chart at the top end for me this week.
Super stoked that Lily got to #1 finally! I just wish Hard Out Here was #2!
Lady Gaga made a big drop from 1 to 9!!!! It seems safe now to re-name her new album ArtFlop since there's no potential big hits on it and it seems to be dropping faster than a fat stripper on a pole...
anyone else notice Robin Thicke drop from top 40 to out of the top 75 altogether....

i was wondering the same as its back in the irish charts too thus week, great to see her in the cgarts

I too was wondering this! Ever since it's release I've associated it with Christmas. I'd love to think that's the reason for its reappearance but, sadly, I don't think it's regarded as a classic by the great British public just yet! But glad to see it back, nevertheless - hope it climbs into the top 75!

Elvis's album holding up well this week. I expected a few places fall.

Buble Christmas album overtaking Rod's and should be Top 10 next week!

Just noticed Slade's Everyday back in the Top 100 after a gap of 39 years due to an ad. Reached No.3 in Aug. 1974.

OH DEAR

How is this happening.. the song is a club banger and all.

Because she's pretty much over in the UK and it had zero support whatsoever.

Shame, I think she's really on form so far this era and I'm not even a fan of hers.

What's the reason for One Direction's debut album being higher this week than their second album? Is it discounted or something? I don't get who's still buying it!

I'd say 'Hard Out Here' should be #1 if they were in the top 2. It's a shame they're both the wrong way round in the real chart.

Yeah its on that ad, its a great track, maybe itll have an effect on Merry Xmas Everybody in a few weeks!

Thius chart last year The Pogues re-entered the top 75 at 53 & Mariah at 56. O Holy Night was also an xmas new entry for Hartwell Primary school which would peak at 39 the following week.

Seems they are both a week behind only being top 100!
